Based on threads like this one I ordered ME2 from Amazon about 3 hours ago (9am USA EST Jan 25). This morning, it was still a "pre-order" and I got the $10 pre-order bonus, another bonus, and promise of delivery on day of release (Amazon says day of release is Jan 26 -- rightly or wrongly). Amazon delivery estimate is tomorrow, Jan 26. We'll see.



Anyhow, order today, get it tomorrow, get pre-order bonuses -- good deal.

As to the why have it shipped? Because, as sadistic as I can be at times, I don't always want to pile the kids in the car just to watch the looks of suppressed horror on the faces of the teens behind the counter as I walk in with toddlers in tow. And the a fore mentions toddlers love to play with packing materials, especially if it goes POP! So not only do I not have to get dressed and drive to the store (which uses about $5 dollars in gas anyway), but I get at least an hours worth of free time while the kids destroy the box and bubble wrap. Win-win.

That and, NO ONE WILL STEAL MY PRE-ORDER BONUSES!

I ordered the CE Guide and it shipped last night and estimated arrival is the 26th, the game still says shipping soon though.

From when I ordered Dragon Age, it actually didn't ship until 3 pm that afternoon (PST), so don't be alarmed if it doesn't ship until near end of business day.

I'm actually a bit surprised that it took this long for the status to change to "Shipping Soon". Typically, in my experience, it changes a day or more in advance of the ship date.



Still, as long as I have it tomorrow, I'm happy.

My DA:O was estimated to not arrive until Mid-November. It shipped the day before release and arrive exactly four days after release - much, much sooner than they estimated. I see no reason why ME2 won't be similar ... and there's my account telling me it's shipping soon. I expect to see it by Friday or Saturday.
