I do not share an ideal of equality. How other races treat elves is an effect of the power they wield over them. I want to have an option to, yes, preserve elven race, but also to ally with someone who seeks rise of the elves of old; immortal, widely gifed with magick.

It is a preference of mine. Straight Elf Female blends well with elven supremacist type who seeks to reestablish an ancient order.

Yes, it is less probable and no, actually it makes sense. This thread's name clearly speaks about the straight companion, there is no need to entertain other options and if you immensely wish so then please create your own discussion.

 

Thank you. Solas is a female elf only romanceable companion. I wish for a Solas's female counterpart. If there is an interest then there is money to be made.

I don't know if we have a chance to actually see a product of amorous interaction, but possibility alone is enough if presented with a proper setting.

I'm already a Justiciar. Have you not heard about the Lord Surinen, a humble servant of the Temple, an instrument of Auri-El's will? It matters not, I thank you anyway for bringing infinite in their wisdom Thalmor to my attention.

 

Maybe one day we will get to explore the glorious past of Thedas's elves. May the Elvhenan rise from its long sleep.

I find it amusing that now that it's the options for straight guys that are lacking, suddenly, people are in favor of extra romance content and DLC romance characters.  Just a game or two ago, I clearly remember a distinctly different consensus on the boards that these games aren't "dating simulators" and people should just be happy with what they got since romances are "optional" and "side-content".  What happened?

But i wanted an elf/elf relationship, so i rolled a female instead. I adapted.

No, you are not a Justicar, you're a fan bitter because he didn't get fanservice. (The funniest thing is that your purported objective here is indeed served for the female PC.)

I'm simply suggesting you stay in Skyrim pretending you're Thalmor, and leave the feedback forum for those who actually are running into issues.

Keep in mind that homosexuality in Thedas is accepted and a normal thing, (not like our pathetic planet) So its quite viable that in a group of 9 people (in thedas) arent mostly straight

I think it fit in fine.  They went out of their way to explain that it wasn't sexuality at the core of the quest, but actually bloodlines and heredity.

I'm. I'm not bitter and most certainly I do not care about fanservice. What I care about is an integrity of my elven character.

It's Dorian's personal quest.  His father wanted him to marry and have children to further their bloodline and keep their family in prominence.  It's Tevinter tradition to cultivate marriages that will increase the likelihood of powerful magic in the family.  Since Dorian is gay, he was not interested in marriage to a woman, even for political purposes.  His father tried to use blood magic on him to "fix him".  It didn't work and it's the main reason why Dorian fled Tevinter and cut ties with his family.  You can encourage them to reconcile or support his decision to stay estranged.  I asked him to hear his father out and then my Inquisitor left the room, so you don't hear the details.  Afterwards, Dorian is appreciative. 

 

So that's why I don't see it as being 'shoehorned' in.  It's relative to the DA Lore and it's a theme that they haven't explored before.
