Seems like 99% of Keep choices have minimal impact. [Spoilers on what isn't in the game]

I can't say I was expecting reaching consequences of giving the Ostagar prisoner a sandwich but still, I was expecting results from

- Anything related to Oghren

- Anything related to Nathaniel

- Anything related to Sten

- Anything related to Wynne, though that was expected

- Anything related to Nature of the Beast

- Anything related to the sub-quests of Paragon of her Kind

- Anything related to Denerim except perhaps a slight dialogue change about Marjolaine, but probably not

None of which were referenced.

And though I haven't played a second save yet

- I can't imagine the Architect playing a significant role

- Nothing related to Warden's Keep or Stone prisoner

For DA2, pretty much every choice apart from romance and final mage/templar choice is ignored.

Then again, I have only played it once. But I cannot imagine the choices appearing or changing stuff at all. I have explored the full war table and done the main story and a lot of side quests.

The game is good though, so it has that going for it.

I dont think it was ever intended to have every choice show up in Inquisition. I think the keep works as a central place to keep all of your "saves" for future Dragon Age games or Inquisition DLC.

If romanced, Morrigan will mention the events of warden's keep, but only a little.

Well I am pretty sure that Cole is Wynne's son, (I have the book 'Asunder', which I have not read, but my friend told me of such, so I think it is accurate, so I mean that is /something/ related to Wynne, even if they do not say it in the game). I'm only about 30 hours in though, but there are some cameo's I am most definitely expecting and will be reallllllly sad if I don't get them. Not particularly disappointed by anything on this list except Oghren because he was pretty essential in Awakening.

Cole is not Wynne's son, someone else is in the book

Well, I won't say pretty sure, because i myself have not read it, and I don't really know considering as much as I know about Cole right now where I am at in the game, but something to do with Wynne, IDK? So let me change that.

I was actually surprised about who you see with Varric, totally not the cameo I was originally expecting when he said he had a friend to meet.

Okay, thank you for the clarification! Then I have a pretty good idea who is, then. Gosh, I wish there was an edit feature for posts though instead of having to post so much. -.-

Yeah, it showed up like five minutes after. x_x; I'm just going to stop now. I'm just too impatient, it seems.

Keep was always intended for more than DA:I, they also said that not all choices in past games would effect DA:I but may affect other DA games. They also said that not all choices would be hugely impactful or thrown in your face.

Not to mention that some of those choices were already touched upon on in DA2 and there's always room for DLC/Expansion.

Are people surprised? This has been a thing ever since Mass Effect 2, choices have an impact on some dialogue and maybe some side missions, but it's never going to inhibit you in any major way.

The moment it does people will complain in mass that Bioware is trying to railroad them to make specific choices.

Some keep decisions are going to be for future games not just Inquisition.

Which part of "some" do you not understand.  "Some" of the decisions are reflected in DA:I.

ugh its been said repeatedly on here that Sten makes a cameo (and only refuses to help if you are a Qunari mage or bring Iron Bull with you), was that just a rumour?

So, how important was kicking customers out of the Pearl and the Noble tavern in Denerim?

I don't get what you mean. Some ME1 decisions definitely did affect ME3, what events happen in it, and how the story is experienced. The biggest one being Wrex.

Not everything is gonna matter a ton. But so what...*

Keep was never intended to use to reflect every single decision for DAI. It is meant for DAI AND DLC AND future games. Considering that Bioware reps openly talk about wanting to do a Dragon Age 4, 5, 6... there you go. It'd be used for all that, over the next decade or so, at least hypothetically.

*Yes, some should have mattered a lot more, especially the fate of Feros colony, the rachni, and the Council.

I'm really bummed by the complete lack of Awakening-related stuff in the Grey Warden quest; no Nathaniel, no Architect, no nothing. And the complete lack of dwarf relevance to the plot hurts me, given how fun the Orzammar arc was.

I will call the DLC cycle of DAI a success if it makes smart and substantial use of Keep choices.

And I feel you on the dwarf stuff (well not totally, since dwarves are my least favorite of the 4 races), but it is nice to see elves more important than dwarves for the first time (IMO). Would be nice for a big dwarven return in a DLC or the next game though.

Yeah "99%" LOL

I've only played for 12 hours and so far I've been able to count more than 10 references to my choices of DA:O and DA2. I don't care if there's no consequence for most of them, but at least it feels immersive when the game remembers my storyline.

Personally I don't care if past games have a big effect on later games.  I'm actually soured on the whole notion, thanks to the Mass Effect series.

At this point I just want to enjoy Dragon Age: Inquisition.  Not Dragon Age: Origins: Part 2 or Dragon Age 2: the Revenge.

I mean, it's nice that Leliana talks of going off t be with the Warden permanently once this is over, or Varric telling the Inquisitor about the special vault he had built for the red lyrium fragment that he kept.  But that's not really important.  This isn't the Warden's Story.  Nor the Champion's.  It's the Inquisitor's.    And as long as this story is good, it doesn't matter how much the past games impact it.

In fact, the less the batter, as it gives the writers more room to work with,

He's Arishok now so, no he isnt showing up.

Iron Bull works for the Ben-hassrath anyway

For instance here is a decision that I am suspecting will be brought up if DA4 goes to tevinter: if you sent Feynril there(the elf blood dreamer in DA2). There really is no reason why he would appeare in Inquistion, but if the next game is set in Tevinter, then I wouldn't be suprirsed that if you sent him there that it makes an appearance.

I will call the DLC cycle of DAI a success if it makes smart and substantial use of Keep choices.

I do wonder what the first story DLC shall be for Inquistion. Hopefully that what ever DLC does use the keep to add to it.

Well, actually, it did unlock some side-missions + some dialogues, like

Spoiler

Altought, as I'm seeing here, it does look a lot like that those choices made in previous game had no consequence at all. Even weren't referenced.
