The game is third person perspective. Tac-cam is an option, but the game is primarily third person perspective.

The game is primarily how you'd like to play it.

If you don't have auto-attack, it's because you're choosing not to have auto-attack.

I would really like to have auto-attack with the action cam, too, but claiming that the game doesn't have an auto-attack simply isn't true.

This game doesn't have auto attack. You know exactly what people mean when they say that. Stop being a pedant, please.

Also: see other points.

Cambios, I agree with everything you're doing, but the ugly reality is there's way more than just the items you listed here that need fixing, too much to try and get very much accomplished via retweets.

Not that it will not help, mind you.  I just think right now, the best thing we can do is make sure the threads with the huge lists are kept at the front so the Bioware patching techs who are scouring the community see as much as possible.  And I include this thread in that classification.  Keep it bumped.

I don't care what people mean.  I care what they say.

This game does have auto-attack.  I use it all of the time.

Regarding the ground circles, here is Mike and Cameron telling us we can turn them on all the time.  If we can't, I'd call that a bug that needs fixing.

It was an odd feeling once I finally realized I have been walking around the game world for over 40 hours now continuously mashing the v button. I thought to myself "Something feels wrong here." I would much rather just have foating text over everything within a certain distance that would of normally been shown by the search button.

Hum... Being curious - and I mean really curious, there's no judgement in my question -, how do you turn on auto-attack then ?

Some points are valid, others (like inertia) are a personal opinion/preference. Some are also 1 core problem divided into several ie: controls.

This is a console rpg. realistically Why would it work properly without a controller? Think about what you brought .

See this thread for a detailed explanation and demonstration video for what is broken with the camera and controls:

One thing is missing and Im not sure whos briliant idea was it to replace the isometric view with the hotlime miami topdown view for the zoomed out tactical camera...

Since I'm happy to play the entire game in Tac Cam, I call it available.

I'm the staunchest opponent of action combat you're likely to find. I don't think forcing action combat on players is in any way acceptable.

But Inquisition doesn't do that.

oh man I've tried to play it in taccam only but I struggled so much with the camera angles I just gave up on it :(

Seriously? You do that? I've tried to use it, but the controls are soooooo horrible that I'd rather play a good action game than a poor attempt at a tactical one.

It will get fixed. On paper the inclusion of the tac cam is a good choice since it gives an option to play with a point & click scheme (or hybrid) out of an action RPG control scheme. Presently there are some shortcomings with how things works but the concept is good.

If the controls weren't bugged atm you would have a way to play the game as a full action-RPG and a way to play the game as an old school RPG (point and click). As I said in another thread if I was Bioware I would work first on the tac cam to make it work as it should since it's probably the easiest to fix and it would already make a lot of difference (especially for when you play on higher difficulties).

Oh! But most of the concepts of DA:I are very good ideas! Don't get me wrong I love the idea and the effort put behind this game. Really, I appreciate what Bioware created for us. I just find regrettable that those ideas weren't better implemented (well not all the time, I'm talking mostly about UI design and PC controls). Which is a thing I think we can all agree on. :)

Was interested in the tactical combat but with the zoom and controls I just laughed and didn't bother.

Found the controls for 3rd person awkward initially but have gotten proficient with them, would however like the game to function like a typical third person title where I look with my mouse and strafe with "a" and "d" which then opens up "e" and "q" for hotkeys which are currently for strafing. Also have my gripes with not moving to an object I click on because it is slightly out of range (wasn't an issue in Origins).

Also as I understand it the multiplayer has a separate keybinding scheme to single player which I can't alter or view to see what certain keys do what, for instance F2 get's your character to signal other party members to retreat which I learned through the 2 second load screen (some of us have SSD's and this is your only source of information for some of this stuff). Can't even screenshot it because clicking the arrow for the next tip doesn't respond fast enough and the tips don't cycle position.

Also found the matchmaking for the multiplayer to be terrible, you have minimal control over what game you join, minimal information on connection quality and frequently have to go through load screens because it fails to connect to host. Also on the note of multiplayer text chat would do nicely (emotes plox) as would indicators for who is in the lobby while you are sorting out abilities / gear (even sound indicators would be nice if adjusting the UI is too much).

Really enjoy the game when it works well but constantly have my experience lessened if not outright ruined because of these things.

There is no such thing as a good action RPG. Action gaming is incompatible with roleplaying.

I absolutely will not use the action controls. Inquisition truly were unplayable in Tac Cam mode, I would have already uninstalled it.

But I find the TacCam works.

Well that's your opinion. But anyway, yes it's propably possible to play the entire game like that, but I find it really incomfortable. And I mean really.

Well that's your opinion.

All declarative sentences are, fundamentally, opinions.
