Cassandra is an all-time favourite for me. And her romance is so amazing!

Runner-ups are Dorian and Sera who I role play as my Adaar's bros. Then comes Varric, Iron Bull and Cole, my Quizzy's little brother. :3

Feel like the odd man out here. I don't really care for most of them. Solas is blah, sera is crazy, Cassandra has a stick up her ass, cole is just plain creepy, bull is awesome, Dorian is awesome, varric was awesome in da 2 but has lost some of his luster, and vivienne I just don't really care about. And almost totally forgot about blackwall- who is okay. I've found the characters to be the single most disappointing aspect of this game.

I cared a lot more for the characters in da 2 and origins. In those games I always had trouble picking the party- in this one so far it's alway varric, bull, and Dorian.

Whatever happened to those classic lines like: "swooping is bad." ?!?

Between Solas and Cole. When either talks, my ears perk up. They're so fascinating and wonderful.

Cassandra, especially whenever she interacts with Solas and Cole. She is a passionate and thoughtful woman who also happens to be a total badass.

I thought I would love Sera more but I think its because I'm not really getting many proper conversations with her or chance to be friends right now. I loved her intro and the first personal quest you have with her though, I hope my Inquisitor becomes good friends with her. I actually kind of like how impulsive she is and unstable (in her actions, I mean).

This is so hard, because I was completely wrong about so many of them before I met them. I thought I would hate cass, and be indifferent to some of the rest, but Cassandra is amazing, she's my bestie, Dorian is right up there too.

But my favorite companion would have to be Solas, which really surprises me. I had no interest in Solas.

Solas and Dorian are tied for me followed by Cole and Sera. I really like all of the companions though.

Sera, Hands down. She is so adorable, Hope i can see more of her in the future. I don't want DA:I to be the end for her.

I like Cass as a character and she reflects alot of what i think of the situations on many occasions, but i also am a mage supporter and having a snarky and funny Monty Python cast off like Dorian helps a ton!

Sera grew on me after a while, especially her party banters with EVERYONE!!! (And is she very tall for an elf or what? No wonder she has a thing for qunari)

 

Dorian is like Varric reloaded, with more wit and snark.

 

Cassandra is....spectacular   That is all.

The only companion I *don't* like is Sera. So that's huge for me. But I think Blackwall and Dorian are my favorites with IB as my next favorite. It's given me a crisis of characters of who I want to play as and who to romance lol.

My mage rolls with Cass and Viv in the group at all times because I love them so damn much.  

 

Its hard to pick between the two, I'm loving Viv's whole sassy thing, but Cass' secret love for a certain book series might be the deciding factor.

I love Cassandra's character    ...Varric is definitely my second favorite. The rest is subject to change, as playing the game further.

The only character I didn't care about at all is Vivienne. She is just too arrogant for my tastes... but that might change in a second playthrough. Solas was great at first but kind of wore me out with his focus on all that "elfy" stuff.

 

The rest is plain awesome.

I was prepared to hate Cassandra and love her character instead. Cole is interesting, Bull is awesome, Blackwall has this dry wit to him, Dorian is just all around hilarious and Varric is still a great character since DA2.

And Sera? Was annoyed by her the first couple of talks and even considered sending her back (just a short moment of weakness ), but warmed up to her and found her romance to be just awesome. Perhaps it is the best in a Bioware game, which means the best in any game (so far)

 

So yeah, I think this game has a great cast.

It physically causes me pain not to be playing an elf and romancing Solas. It's bad.

 

I just want to wrap Cole up in a blanket, take him far away with Solas, and raise him properly. As if he were a child.

 

And Dorian is my best bro. I didn't think they'd have that kind of relationship. But it's such a natural progression.

The Iron Bull and surprisingly Dorian.  They both have me laughing all the time.  I may even make a male avatar when the game gets patched just to romance dorian.

But Solas is the only one who has yet to make me love him.

 

Dorian and Cassandra both jump ahead of every other companion from DAO, DAA, and DA2 when it comes to my all time favorite companions though.

None of them I obsessed over, but I like Cassandra and Iron Bull.

I've really hadn't much time to play so I only have the original three companions. Loving the trolling Varric and Cassandra do with each other (I was expecting it to be a bit nasty but it's actually pretty funny) and the Solas/Cassandra dynamic is interesting and it appears they seem to have quite a bit of respect for each other in their questions and banter with each other. I'm actually really liking Cass a huge amount more than I thought I would.

As long as I don't have the Ohgren/Anders dynamic from Awakenings (one of my least favourite parts of Awakenings) I'll be happy.
