This game is horrible and I've been playing it for all of ten minutes.

Bioware I want a full refund of £50 for this mess.

The pictures we saw in the advertisements are not at all the reality of the situation. The cut scenes and rendering are worse than on a gamecube. I can't even go on with the game because it's so bad. You should have made some effort to give last generation console users a decent game, not simply reserved it for next gen. Destiny has bearable graphics and few glitches for an Xbox360, so there really are no excuses. If they can do it, you can.

I gave it a shot after the joke that was DA2, but this is far worse. I'm disgusted and actually feel cheated.

you are using a hdmi cable and not the BS component one??  cause yeah the graphics may not be Skyrim good on the 360 but they are by no means as bad as you are claiming. if you only played the game for ten minutes then you never even made it to Haven and are still on the prologue section asking for a refund with that is frankly ludicrous.

but is the core gameplay the same as next-gen because thats how they advertised DA:I, they said that last-gen would lack the graphical fidelity of next-gen consoles and PC. So after reading your vague description about your experience with the game i gather that you got exactly what they advertised and what you paid for.

There is lot of problems with last gen, maybe you are having those bugs? I have seen people saying it gets slightly better after getting out of Haven.

So you are complaining that the 360 graphics and capabilities are not anything like the advertisements?

The advertisements that used Next Gen gameplay and images in them?

lol

They advertised this game for both gen using those so it's not old gen players fault to assume it will look good.

Also there is lot more issues than just graphical in DAI when played with last gens. It has: black screens, freezing, crashing, sound problems, dialogue problems, texture pop-in's or texture's won't load (which lowers graphic look a lot), huge loading times, guests don't load properly, enemies don't load properly, lighting issues, text is too small to read.. etc. There is huge pile of problems and there is no way old gen players should have excepted to have them in game they paid full price for.

I won't go so far as to say its 100% their fault but they are by no means absolved of all blame.

You are well aware what it is your console is capable of. If you see something that looks well above what it is capable of and blindly purchase it then you are naive. You don't get to turn around and lay 100% of the blame at the feet of the developer.

Yes the Devs should have been more open with what they were showing, but the consumers should not have been so easily swayed or gullible.

Sigh this is not economic utopia where everything lies on customer, nowdays customers have rights. Producer should do something that works instead of giving low-quality and/or broken product to customers. Hopefully BW will fix the bugs so that the product they have sold actually would work for last gen consoles.

Which is why I said its not 100% fault on either side.

Both sides share the blame in this case.

I'm not stupid enough to believe that I would get graphics like next gen and I never said as such, but I do expect to get a game that is playable for £50. I expect a game to look like it hasn't been shat out. For those of you calling me a 'troll', I can only assume that you are not playing on an xbox 360 and therefore you are having a good experience and one that you are satisfied with for the money you have paid. I'm afraid this is not so for me and other users that I have spoken to. Should we all have to buy an xbox one or a ps4 to get a game that is decent? No, absolutely not. If the computer is not up for handling the game, then it should not have been made for it. That's the nuts and bolts of the situation. All the reviews written about the game, that I have seen so far, have been written by those testing out PS4 and Xbox One versions. How we were to know that the game itself would be a mess because it's on 360? You buy a game that has been made for your console believing it to be of a certain standard. Not Xbox One standard, of course, but of at least DA:2 standard. That is not unreasonable and me complaining about the fact that is no where near that does not make me a troll.

I am playing on both 360 and pc, graphics are fairly comparable on each. yes the 360 is not as nice as the pc but they are still good which makes me question again the cable you are using, your TV, and what do you have the system set on.

Doesn't EA have a refund policy? You should look into that instead of complaining on the forums

My daughters have both versions of the PS game (3 and 4)--hey I didn't buy them, they did, I prefer PC--and graphically there are a few differences, but they aren't glaring except with the older system the hair meshes are a lot more visible (grainy, shiny white patches show on the hair in PS3 rendering).  Bugs, crashes etc, I am unsure of, though since I haven't heard any complaints from them.  .While not as good looking as a high end PC system, the graphics are playable on the old console.

I have the PC version of the game which has its own quirkiness.  Beautiful graphics, but I have 'disappearing npcs', NPCs who won't talk to me to do quests, yesterday my Inquisitor wouldn't stop 'running forward' (like I had Auto run on and couldn't turn it off), which necessitated completely closing out my game and going back in to resolve it.

Friends of mine have had crash to desktop issues, frequently during that first cutscene, requiring them to start all over from scratch in the CC.

Praying for a patch to fix numerous issues soon.

To those on last gen I feel for you (please note I am not trying to be condescending, and in now way trying to start a flame war) but it must be remembered that the minimum specs on a pc is a quad core dual cores can't handle it, the xbox 360 has a 3.5Ghz (i think) single core, its a miracle they got it working on the last gen at all

I'm playing on PS3 and I'm perfectly fine with the graphics, though, granted, graphics don't mean as much to me as they used to.  But then, PS3 games usually have better graphics than 360 games because Blu-Ray capability.  I am using a HD TV with a HDMI cable, so I'm running at 720p, which is probably why I'm perfectly fine with the graphics.  I did play Dark Souls and the graphics on that weren't exactly the best I've seen, even on regular old PS2 and XBox.  By comparison, DA:I on PS3 is, at the very least, an improvement on that, imo.

No real need to read past the first statement but if you made it to the second there's reason enough to stop there as well.

...and I've been playing it for all of ten minutes.

I'd say try it again if it's only been 10. It'd have to be borderline excruciating to have 10 minutes be the cut-off.

As far as past-gen issues, I dunno what to tell you. If a game's going multiplatform and seemingly built for the higher gen, the retrofitting into past generations is going to have potential issues.

Not sure if EA's refund system works for console games, but go for it if it does.

It doesn't really matter since they didn't adversite it seperately to old gen. So adversiments like trailers and streams were for both gen and PC.

I'm playing on a 360 and other than the usual stuff I've seen on here, nothing too bad has happened. My game has frozed 3 times in about 160 hours of overall playtime (4 different characters) and believe me Skyrim froze A LOT more than that.

The 3 irritating things I've come upon are things lots of ppl have and Bioware is aware of the issues and are working on getting out patches to fix the problems. No game is perfect and yes this one has more issues than most, but believe me the overall gameplay is worth being patient until the patches are released.

Instead, most of you all are of the "fast food" mentality. Act like adults and show some constraint. It's a GAME!!!!

They are aware and there is a correct way of going about this

As for the OP, if I'm not mistaken the UK has the Sale of Goods Act and you should look into it.

Bioware should not have made this for last-gen in the first place.

Time to move on and join the future.

Consider yourselves lucky that the last gen lasted as long as it did. They usually don't last more than 5 years.

Yep.

I would clarify the above with this though - if they had their druthers, I don't think Bioware would have released this for old gen systems, assuming they wanted to do justice to their hard work, best foot forward, all that.

It seems clear to me that releasing them on the old gen systems was a cash grab by EA. The install base is so huge that they insisted.

If you played Shadow of Mordor on the old gen versus new gen, the issues with DAI won't be surprising. It's not just the visuals that suffer. Without the horsepower of a good PC or the new gen consoles, everything in the game is gimped.
