Not sure if this is where i post this but the keep isn't recognizing my character from DA:O and DA2, tried the equip armor, save, re-equip armor, save and that didn't work for either of them and yes the box to upload data is checked.  I did use the console and mods but disabled both of those and tried it and nothing worked.  When I login to the keep it show how many persona you have and mine shows 4, one on xbox which I dont own anymore, one on ps3 which I don't own anymore, and 2 for PC, one is my Origins BBRyuLvl2 and the other one says DA_826878582.  Is that some kind of bug?  Really would like to have the characters I made actually upload to the keep so I can start playing the single player.

1) There is a FAQ on this issue and there is a sticky thread on this forum if that doesn't work.

2) All that imports is your name and race/class. There isn't anything that will affect DA:I that's different from the default characters.

Except the default characters are not my characters, I mean what's the point of even play DA:O and DA2 if it boils down to having to use a stupid website, just seem pointless.  Don't know why bioware couldn't just let us import from the last game but since they are a part of EA i guess they have to keep on acting like EA does and messing things up that worked for the last game.

The reason for the Keep is because the save imports don't work.  There was the romance bug (any post origins import wouldn't track who the Warden had romanced), and the Nathaniel bug (Nate incorrectly flagged as dead when he lived), and that's just the two I encounterd and can think of off the top of my head.  The ME serise had similar import problems.

What do you mean by 'not recoginising'?  Are you getting your Wardens in the Keep but with decsions you didn't make? If that's the case that is how it's meant to work.  All the Keep imports is name, race, class and a picture.  If, however, you're getting no Wardens then the best way is to DAO's free character creator to make your Wardens and upload them using that.  It worked for me after the Keep refused to sync my Wardens.

And the point of playing DAO and DA2 is for fun.  If you just see them as means to make an import file then the games will just become a chore.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy playing the DA:O and DA2, it just seem stupid to me that it doesn't let us import from the past games properly.  And no, none of the characters I made in DA:O or DA2 show up from my PC games.  Like i said in the op, I think my pc persona has a bug since it shows 2 personas and I've only every had my BBRyulvl2.

Is your second persona something to do with Dragon Age?  Because that's normal.  Apparently the Keep is going to be updated so those accounts aren't showing up any more (it took me by surprise when I saw the two accounts as well).

There's a sticky topic in this section with a guide of how to get your Wardens and Hawkes to sync after the FAQ fails you.  My prefered method to to use the free DAO CC and remake my Wardens in that.  I can upload them straight to the Bioware site and then it just takes a few hours (or a day at most) to sync properly with the Keep.

I think the Keep is the best choice that Bioware could've made with DA imports.  I'm not keen on having to have Nate in my party in the Awakening endgame just to get him in DA2, or using an unoffical fix for the romance bug and hoping that this time it works.  True, it's a little buggy at the moment but at least this time the bugs can be fixed (the DAO to DA2 import bugs apparently required a new patch for DAO to fix, which is why they mostly never were fixed).

Sorry if I sounded rude earlier.  That wasn't my intention.  Good luck with getting your Wardens and Hawkes synced.

Those default world states are for newcomers who don't want to play the other two games, like the Mass Effect interactive comic that you could play before ME3.

The reason is due to the numerous number of glitches that plagued the past two games for 75% of the community, so BioWare opted to junk the save importing and switch to manual flag setting via the Keep. It's annoying, it's a big change, and it does make many feel like their hundred of hours spent play the past two games are for not; but it does address the problem.
