I am not sure who to pick here as I plan to support Celene (should I get the chance) but Jean Gaspard might be an ally too.
Any thoughts?

I haven't finished yet, but I had Cullen recruit JG to the Inquisition, so it'll be one of the girls.

Thanks for replying.
My concern is that if he is in the inquisition, will the Empress still be able to help, after all they are both fighting for the throne ...
I think you are confusing Jean-Gaspard of Lydes with Grand Duke Gaspard. They are different peoples.
I stand corrected. Once again thanks.
I did the work and here is the breakdown.
Step 1: remove a participant. This one gives a minor reward depending on who you chuck. The brother grants 30 influence, the church going sister grants 10 spindle weeds, and the married sister grants you <100 gold.
Step 2: Install your successor. The brother grants 60 influence, the church sister grants you a blue shield, and the married one gives you a blue sword. Those items are both lvl 9 with a lvl requirement of 6.
Have fun.
so which way did you decide to go?
I recruited the dude not sure about which lady to back
I recruited the guy. Just seemed like a no brainer to me.
Then I supported the non-Chantry sister (Catrina?). I'm rolling a non-religious Inquisitor so the less Chantry ties, the more comfortable he is. Plus, she seemed like a stronger ally. I might be able to gain influence over the Chantry one, but I need allies.
I think, I chose the married One. Admittedly, most of my Wartable Choices are made thinking "who can do it fastest". Ths one wasn#t. I recruited the Dude and stopped the scheming ******.

My first playthrough, I did this too. And then I regretted it because I didn't realize that it influences one of the outcome variables of the story. So in this playthrough, I'm being much more deliberate in my choices. I'm not working towards a particular outcome so it will be interesting to see what happens with these choices. If there are two that I options that I equally like, I'll still likely take the shorter one (or see if one of those advisors has another mission that I can use them for). Otherwise, I'll just pick who makes the most sense to me.
It appears to have no impact beyond the war table mission itself. It's a role-play choice more than anything else.

I was not completely unaware of that, but I've got to say, most of the Time I didn't really care. Sometimes - for example when Sebastian wanted to annex Kirkwall - I chose consciously (to let him suceed, because Sebastian was an Ally of the Inquisition), but other Times I was just like "meh, who even cares what we're doing with these Beasts, that I had to drive out of an Oasis".

Minor spoilers (just more about how it works than any details with one actual 'double spoilered' spoiler)
I went with Catarina she seemed like the strongest choice. I recruited the brother, and shipped chantry girl off to a nunnery.
My reasoning the brother is a good soldier who can do a great service for the Inquisition, but would be difficult to manipulate on the throne. As for Chantry girl, as said in the mission description, she'd be easy to control, but she's weak and would be of little use.
