A little shoutout for the in-game dialogue wheel

And by in-game, I mean in the middle of gameplay.

This is literally a game-design dream of mine come true. It's so simple yet so effective and immersive. Sudden party banter happens while you're exploring, then a transparent dialogue wheel appears and if you're willing you can press a button to switch from movement controls to steering the dialogue wheel and respond while you're in the middle of the gameplay. Pure genious and I didn't think you'd ever pick up this idea Bioware, but you did, so THANK YOU!

I don't know how often it will be used, but dang if it isn't an excellent design choice! ME3 so much needed this in all of the boring Shepard-stretches-while-autoresponding Normandy Dialogue with crewmates. Good it is finally realized!

It's even better on PC, you can click a response while running around. Very cool.

I have really enjoyed this little bit of extra character building while out and about wandering myself.  The first time it popped up on screen it was so new to see that I, honestly, had no idea how to proceed.  It was a bit like, "Wait...I see it there, but am I REALLY able to respond...like, right now?!"

It definitely adds a little something to the whole experience and they worked it in so well.

I had thought about asking Bioware to implement such an idea but they beat me to it. Like I said, a game-design dream come true. Good to see they did listen to the consensus of dislike towards ME3's auto-dialogue and character railroading. There's still some autodialogue in DA:I but Bioware ensured that your inquisitor never or at least rarely steps outside of the characterization we're supposed to give him through dialogue-options. After ME3 I just thought "this is the end of Bioware and interactive storytelling." but nope! thank god.

When does this happen?  I haven't seen it yet.

When you're walking around with companions their dialog will sometimes ask for your input and you can just click your response. Also when walking near some basic quest givers it can pop up without you clicking to start dialog.

I would have liked to have seen this go a step further as kind of an active tactical conversation going on between me and my party members during battles at times.

With tactics basically boiled down to four very simple options, a bunch of shouted instructions for helping direct your party in battle would at least have been a nice tacit gesture. Especially since tactics and the tactical view are sorta not good.

I think making dialogue wheel control the AI party members would've been redundant. Dialogue wheel is for narrative sakes not gameplay. We already have tactical view and full real-time player control otherwise :-P

It's nice to finally hear about a positive change.
