An interesting question has been raised by my friend and would love this to be adressed.

I'm asking, because I would really like to finally be able to copy my
original Shepard's look, and ME1 didn't allowed me to do that. :/ So I
hope that at least ME2 will (and I'm gonna play the PC version) give me the character code, but I don't seem to see it on a few pictures taken on pc, and only on 360 I can see the character code appear in the squard section only.

Any help?

How? I've seen nothing of the likes so far, and what section would this be?

It's right there in the top of the screen of the squad section, it's identical to the 360 screens in fact.I'm not going to screenshot it as they'd probably call it spoilers. in fact this probably is already. Just trust me. The code is there.

Does the player have to wait for it to appear? How does it work? Sorry to say but I can't see anything on the PC version at all from the initial steam videos I've seen, or related to that.

the character code is available to you in ME2 on PC. It appears during one section of the character import "process". I won't say when or the spoiler police may come after me. But it is there.

Actually. I rechecked. If you do a straight import from the save file and don't change anything you won't get a code. It's probably due to the fact that it incorperates old looks and options the new chargenerator doesn't support. It's only available if you choose to alter anything. And if you do your imported face goes away and you have to create a new one from scratch.

Thanks Phonzo, but when I see it select to the character face it only moves onto the class system there after with no code avaliable to see on screen :( Am I missing something (i can't see it, even if they went to custom face which goes to a different face if clicked nothing shows for the imported face)

Cries a little.

Damn, I guess he has to start from scratch and try to get something similar. Thanks guys, you've been a great help.

All you need to do is change one slider (change it back if you'd like too) and you'll get the code.

Ohhh I know what he means - at least i think i do because i haven't played me2 let alone customize my import yet.

Basically he's saying that code is there, already, you just don't see the effect it has yet. By moving one slider (like an inch) will cause the customization tool reevaluate the entire code and change your Shepard look accordingly.

At least I think that's what good old JH i saying.

Sorry Merikano but what area is this slider you are referring too? My mind is blank at the moment so I can't make sense on where/what this slider is.

Still doesn't seem to do it, it only stays on the custom Shepard you are given :(

When I import my shep and then select that I want to redo it, it goes straight to a default face. It doesn't allow me to adjust my old one with the new editor.

^

This is the problem my friend is having and wish to want to sort this out so I can get the copy code for me as well. What's the problem we are missing here, Jesse/Bioware?

I have no idea then, like I said I don't even have the game yet. Hopefully BW gets back to you on this.

The code is referring to the serial code you get when you customize your character, you can copy and send it to your friends so they get the same Shepard. But the problem is that you don't have the option at all to get one when you import your Shepard from the first game. Something I thought Bioware wouldn't miss on.

If you want to be able to share your Shepard's looks (i.e someone made a Megan Fox look-a-like that you simply must have) they can send you the "code" for it.  You then input the code and PRESTO! That's what your Shepard will look like too.  Do I know how to put in the codes or how your share them, no. But this is the basic premis.

Thanks, guy. I've never bothered with that. Sounds like something I could do from the .ini file.
