Firstly it might be handy to explain how you've got a copy of the game before it's released?

But at the risk of being accused of not answering the question, start by posting up your system specs, but don't expect much in the way of answers until the game is officially released.

Maybe your comp specs are not high enough.

The digital download version of the game was released today so that explains that.

IGN did note in the video review that sound drop outs did occur on the occasion but not frequently. just keep restarting. If you have steam try Verifying your Local File Content as you may be missing a file.

Edit:
I've dealt with my fair share of steam issues and normally this fixes what ever the problem is wich is normally a missing or currputed file if it continues to happen disable your AntiVirus and Verify content via steam Some Files from Steam get target for some reason i don't remember but i had to do that with Full SPectrum Warrior Ten Hammers Worked FIne after that.

Ummm....there was no digital site download that unlocked ME2 today. AFAIK, release is tomorrow at 10am PST for D2D and for Steam, Impulse, etc. Would love to know which site gave the release info...

Ones that involve paying nothing for games would be my guess.

It's not hard to get your hands on copy of the game early if you have friends working at a game shop.

I just recently purchased and loaded the game (ME2)as well. My problem is the obvious ambient aspect of the sound files ( everything sounds as if it was recorded in a tin can..) there is so much reverberation, the volume seems to be off as well. I have adjusted the balance, so the music is really low, as at 100% music overpowers the voice completely. Every once in a while the audio pops in at the right level and that piece of dialog sounds like it should. I have updated the audio drivers, and I have a killer system. Just a hint to people who have not played the game before.. if you can't do something that you were able to do before.. the game is wanting you to do something else that is different ( talk to someone.. or other actions).. I thought it had crashed and I was dead in the water) but that was all it was.. hope this helps someone else.. but ... SOUND PROBLEMS.. any help here????nd
