Your welcome. One other thing just came to mind that I'm not sure was mentioned for the Sera romance. Flirting with Scout Harding after opening new areas nets positive approval (provided Sera is in the player's party at the time). It seems counter-intuitive, but I think the BW writers are emphasizing Sera's playful nature and how she always stands up for the little people. This particular mechanic saved my bacon because I missed on some early story choices and played as an elf. I discovered it completely by accident when my roommate decided Scout Harding was cute.
I will try to think of other instances that helped with this specific romance. I don't typically take copious notes during my first few playthroughs of new game, but I remember there are about a half a dozen Hinterlands quests that net positive approval from Sera (mostly of the "get blankets for the refugees" variety). It might be a good idea for players to minimize Hinterland wondering until after Val Reaux if they are trying for a Sera romance.
