Yep. Throughout this thread, many of the questions that are being asked are either answered in the OP, or the past 10 or so pages.

Here is my first playthrough - Vivienne ended up Divine:
Q.Who became your divine? (Softened/Hardened if applicable)
A. Vivienne
Q. Who did you side with mages/templars and under what condition. (Conscription, free)
A. Templars. Free.
Q. When speaking to companions regarding chantry, how did you respond? (i.e. Dorian, Vivienne) (i.e. chantry is fine, mages need to be free, chantry reformed)
A. Mostly that the chantry needs to exist and is fine. On a few occasions I answered that the chantry needs to be reformed.
Q. Did you do any of the war table operations to support a divine candidate? Did any come up at all?
A. I had the Vivienne one.
Q. Did you support a divine candidate through dialogue with them?
A. Cassandra at first, then realized Vivienne was a better choice for me, so started supporting her. I don't remember having any Divine-specific dialogue with Leliana in which I could support her.
Q. Who did you side with on the civil war?
A. Celene
Q. Cassandra disband the seekers?
A. No, rebuilding
Q. Leliana Kill/Spared Traitor at Haven/Sister at Chantry?
A. Killed both of them.
Q. Leliana told she was right to keep her scouts safe, or that she was wrong?
A. Told her she was right, and she agreed in the end.

Hmm, I'm not seeing it... what I really want to know is, are there any major decisions that will give points for Cassandra, like freeing the mages does for Leli? I've gone with the mages in the last 2 playthroughs and I'd like to see how the templars play out, but I also want to get Divine Cass this time round.
(It might be good to update the OP with the new data, if possible.)

I think this whole thing is so damn confusing. I got Cassandra for Divine - and I wasn't even aiming for her.
Q.Who became your divine? (Softened/Hardened if applicable)

A. Templars. Free
Q. When speaking to companions regarding chantry, how did you respond? (i.e. Dorian, Vivienne) (i.e. chantry is fine, mages need to be free, chantry reformed)
A. Said that the Chantry needed to be reformed - to start doing it's job - ie, supporting the religious
Q. Did you do any of the war table operations to support a divine candidate? Did any come up at all?
A. No war table support showed up
Q. Did you support a divine candidate through dialogue with them?
A. Told Leliana I would support her - told Viviene that Leliana would be a good choice
Q. Who did you side with on the civil war?
A. I got a truce - so Celene (as I got all three people agree to testify if it came down to it - accused Celene first, then Briala then Gaspard came up automatically)
Q. Cassandra disband the seekers?
A. No, rebuilding
Q. Leliana Kill/Spared Traitor at Haven/Sister at Chantry?
A. Spared both of them
Q. Leliana told she was right to keep her scouts safe, or that she was wrong?
A. Told her she was right to keep her scouts safe.
So was it because I kept saying the Chantry needed to reform I got Cassandra? I played as a Mage Qunari (Female)

If read through the whole thread and am still not 100% sure.. Can I get Cassandra with the following:
Conscript mages
Reconcile Briala and Celene, or have all three rule together.
Reform Seekers
And obviously talk a lot about reforming the cantry.
I've tried 3 times and always get Vivienne.

It's because you sided with the templars. I don't think it's very likely or even impossible for Lelianna to become the divine if you side with them.

Interesting - I have a playthrough (that I haven't completed) where I've sided with the Mages (allied with them). I'll do the same as above and see if I can get Leliana as Divine this time round.

Do you guys tend to rebuild the Seekers or no? It sounds all fine and dandy, until you realize you and Cassandra would be apart if your romancing her. Pretty much why I don't want her as Divine even though she's the best option IMO.

This has been said within the last 1-5 pages. Conscripting mages, not forcing the Templars to join the inquisition and disband their Order, putting Gaspard on the throne, and supporting Cassandra's ideals when she speaks of them to you will put her on the throne, along with chantry reform dialogue.

Okay, I have two questions guys haha
Can I get Leliana as a hard Divine by ->
Conscripting Templars
Briala rules through Gaspard
Wardens redeemed
Leliana will be hardened
Cassandra will likely have bad approval and the Seekers will be disbanded.
I know these questions must be annoying but in this scenario, it seems to favor Leliana slightly more than anyone else (Briala & Wardens), yet I've read several times that it's impossible to get Leliana as Divine unless you side with the mages.
Second question, if you don't recruit Viv, can she even become Divine? I'm not planning on recruiting her in this play through and I'm hoping that alone will mean she never sees the Sunburst throne. >.>

I was able to get hardened Leliana in this scenario - though, I exiled the Wardens. Disbanding the Seekers seemed to be what gave Leliana the lead over Cassandra.Okay, I have two questions guys haha

If you've been making choices in dialogue that support Leliana's opinions about mages and the Chantry, and support her in dialouge about the Divine and her war table mission, you should be fine.

I've started digging through the game files to see how Divine selection works. It seems to be done via ActionLogicPrefabBlueprints in DA3/DesignContent/Plots/Finale/ almost exactly like the companion approval.
Some random examples for Cassandra:
- "Support Cassandra" operation = +10 "Divine approval" (for the lack of a better word).
- (Grey Wardens decision) "Get out of Orlais." ("You leave.") /* The Wardens are banished from Orlais. They do not help the Inquisition. */ = +5.
- (Grey Wardens decision) "Help the Inquisition." ("You stay and do whatever you can to help.") /*The Grey Wardens help the Inquisition. They may be vulnerable to corruption.*/ = -5.
- (Skyhold) "Forget the Chantry." ("I don't see why you think the Chantry is so worthy of reform.") = -5.
I'm writing a script to extract all these changes from conversations.

I am at the point of the game prior to temple of Mythal. I am trying to prevent Cass from becoming the Divine (for the third time!).
In my first walk-through I was a female elf liberating mages and not really caring about opinions I expressed. I just wanted to be everyone's friend, so I guess I involuntarily supported Cass. Guess even told her she'd be great.
Second playthrough male mage inquisitor romancing Cass - trying to do my best to prevent her from becoming Divine without reading this forum - failed. Tried to reload and tell her I wouldn't lose her to Chantry with no change to the outcome.
Third playtrough - I didn't say blasphemy things about Chantry to Cass, however, told her there were different ways of supporting it, also told Dorian and Viv circles were great and that they should be reinstated. Oh, and the earliest safe I had available already had Templars alliance. I also forced the three-fold alliance in Wicked ball thing both times which according to this thread should throw support to Viv. In my second playthrough I revealed both Briala and Gaspard leaving Celene alone on the throne which is even stronger pro Viv choice if I am correct and still got Cass. Also steered away from being the Chosen One to stating I wasn't one and not doing any Andraste supporting things for awhile.
Now my question is about Val Royeaux rumors part which is very confusing. First I go there and mingle and hear stuff like: "oh, they consider Leliana for Divine - I am not sure if I should be thrilled or terrified - maybe both!" and "Viv is considered too! But she's a mage! That's not what I signed up for when I joined Chantry!" - so it seems like Viv does not have a chance at the point, right?
After this mingling I go on to complete Leliana's quest and she kills the nun (no surprise here, she was hardened). And a new round of Val Royeaux mingling brings me the awful: "Right hand will be the next Divine. She'll bring change and that's good!"
Any chance I can still change the tide and not get Cass as Divine? I have both Viv support operation as well as Leliana's question available (Leliana's hasn't appeared yet, but it's coming). I guess my best bet would be trying to swing it towards Viv, however, the rumors scare me - will I have to do yet another walkthrough? Grrr... ![]()

I'm surprised no one bothered digging the game files until now... how did you get to that file, anyways? I can't seem to find it in the DAI root folder or the Documents folder.

You need to use DAI_Tools (Tools > EBX Explorer) – http://forum.bioware...9048-dai-tools/

How do I choose between a hardened Leliana and unhardened from the Keep? I would like to make her Divine but I just don't see that option in Keep and I don't want her romanced.

The keep won't actually do this.
But in-game (origins), tell her she's a good person.
In-game (inquisition) don't let her kill anyone.

Well, poo. It looks like based on the info here Vivienne is probably going to become Divine on my first run.
I was hoping I would get Leliana. But it seems like most of the decisions I've made favor Vivienne. Except having the grey wardens stay on as allies.
