I think you could use the wiki page (http://dragonage.wik...Divine_election) to count your points manually and get the approximate results. No guarantees, but worth a try.

Yeah I wasn't expecting a guarantee but more of a general guide. Thanks though, this is exactly what I was looking for:)

This is stupid. So basically, I'm making choices for a situation that ddoesn't even come up until more than halfway through the game? And even when you do see that cut scene, it never gets brought up again unless you specifically ask your companions about it. Besides, I never bother investing time into this storyline because I don't feel like it affects anything except the epilogue.. I don't feel immersed in it like I should. Seems its just an extra useless ghost quest line (I say ghost to mean that its an underlying quest you're participating in unknowingly).

Hello everyone. This seemed like a cool thread so I thought I'd chime in on what happened to mine. So on mine I supported both when I could except when talking to vivienne I put Leliana could also be a better candidate in which I got disapproval from vivenne and did not unlock the support vivenne operation (I know because I saved and reloaded to see the outcomes. Going with you agree or that Vivienne making a better divine unlocks the operation.) I did the Lelianna mission where you go with her to that place, forgot the name, to get that thing that divine Justiana left for her. Afterward I talked to her a couple times and finally it got to the point where I got the clear white choice wheel, you know the one where you have to pick a major decision and cant go back afterwards, I supported Lelianna and at the end of the game.... Cassandra became the divine... WTH!? I was more in favor of Lelianna at the end. Is this a glitch or does it just not matter. I didn't get an operation to support Lelianna in the war table. Was I suppose to? man this is so messed up haha.

At first I tried to say that both of them would be great divines like when the choices pop up I would say they would make a great divine for both Lelianna and Cassandra. Then I got to Vivienne who wants to support Cassandra and I chose the 'What about Lelianna?' option. After doing the missions for Lelianna I eventually got the all white dialogue choice wheel that gives you a description of what will happen if you chose to support her or not and you can't go back afterwards. At that moment I chose to support Lelianna. I think I did have one last conversation with Cassandra and may have said she would've been a good divine and probably why she ended up as divine though I thouhgt when I got that dialogue wheel that that decision would be the end all be all choice. Guess not.

The conversation about the Divine is not the only factor in deciding on who will become Divine.
If you conscript or ally with the templars/mages, who is on Orlais throne, the fate of the Gray Wardens, influence on who will become Divine.

Here a link with the choices and on who they favor: dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Divine_election

Who became your divine? (Softened/Hardened if applicable)

Leiliana (Hardened)

Who did you side with mages/templars and under what condition. (Conscription, free)

Mages - free but watched (conversation with Vivienne)

When speaking to companions regarding chantry, how did you respond? (i.e. Dorian, Vivienne) (i.e. chantry is fine, mages need to be free, chantry reformed)

neutral - evading issue if possible (as a Dalish elf my Inky felt the chantry was none of her business)

Did you do any of the war table operations to support a divine candidate? Did any come up at all?

didn't do any.  The only one that came up was for Vivienne (appeared after talking to her about supporting Cassandra)

Did you support a divine candidate through dialogue with them?

supported Cassandra through dialogue with her and Vivienne, opposed Leiliana through dialogue with her.

Who did you side with on the civil war?

Celine - reunited with Briala

Cassandra disband the seekers?

encouraged her to reform the seekers

Leliana Kill/Spared Traitor at Haven/Sister at Chantry?

told her to spare the traitor - arguing that he could have information as I had no authority and that seemed a more convincing approach than the alternative Puss-in-boots eyes approach (as in the Shrek films)

later told her to spare the Sister but she didn't

Leliana told she was right to keep her scouts safe, or that she was wrong?

told her she was right to keep the scouts safe

Yea I pretty much went all mages chosing to help them though I tried to help everyone. I let the wardens help the inquisition.

There's also a bug part in the bottom that says "sometimes the right divine is not chosen." Don't want to say that that may be it but in the end I ultimately went with Lelianna.

My conversation response are practically like the video in post #603 except for some and I didn't harden Lelianna instead chosen to let Natalie go. At the end of the video where you get the options: 1. I'd support you, 3. You shouldn't be divine, 5. What would you do as divine? I chose 5. What would you do as divine? and then 1.  I'd support you.

So if I do the following:

- Free the mages

- Keep the Wardens

- Allow Celene and Briala to rule

- Express my atheism

- Romance Cassandra

- Support Cassandra as Divine

.... can Cassandra become the Divine? My major choices tend to favor Leliana, and she became the Divine in my first playthrough, but I'd like to have Cassandra win at some point without compromising what I actually believe.

I got Cassie again but I was aiming for Leliana.

I ran the script on my last save and it seemed to have defaulted to Cassandra even if Leliana has more points:

My little contribution.

The article on the English wikia was very helpful and I was able to get Leliana as divine for my 2nd playthrough.

Template :

 - Templars conscripted

 - Told vivi that circles should be re-instated

 - Told Cass to do as she pleases regarding the seekers

 - Public truce between the 3 idiots of Orlaïs

 - Wardens conscripted

 - Supported Leliana whenever I could

IMPORTANT POINT :

If I didn't discourage Cassandra to become divine she ends up being divine (question "do you really want to be divine" in normal conversation). When discouraged, Leliana takes her place. So this template is not the surest way to get Leliana as divine.

I think siding with the templars (conscript or as free allies) pushes a lot in favor of Cassandra.

The good side is : I could easily change who would become divine in the endgame with a simple line of dialogue.

I was a bit surprised Cassandra ended up as my Divine, though not horribly upset.  I did support Cassandra during conversations, but I ended up favoring a softened Leliana and chose her when given the "big choice" wheel.

Who became your divine? (Softened/Hardened if applicable)

Cassandra

Who did you side with mages/templars and under what condition. (Conscription, free)

Mages, free

When speaking to companions regarding chantry, how did you respond? (i.e. Dorian, Vivienne) (i.e. chantry is fine, mages need to be free, chantry reformed)

Don't remember exact conversations, usually would say mages need to be free unless looking for approval boost

Did you do any of the war table operations to support a divine candidate? Did any come up at all?

No, don't remember any

Did you support a divine candidate through dialogue with them?

Yes, Cassandra and Leliana

Who did you side with on the civil war?

Celine

Cassandra disband the seekers?

No

Leliana Kill/Spared Traitor at Haven/Sister at Chantry?

Spared

Leliana told she was right to keep her scouts safe, or that she was wrong?

Right

I probably should've read this before I made my major choices.

I romanced Cassandra, in the hope of her staying with me to the end. Sadly, she became Divine and started calling me "Hello, Inquisitor" whenever I talk to her after the epilogue. And every time I walk past her...I felt sadder and sadder. :(

Oh well, the DA Keep will have to do, then.

Aimed for softened Leliana, got Cassandra instead.  I want Cass and my templars to stay by my side, damnit! The script claimed Leliana was two points ahead in the end, yet the flag remained set to Cassandra ... she'd been in the lead for most of the game, I think. Gotta try this again sometime.

Who became your divine?: Cassandra.
Who did you side with mages/templars and under what condition?: Templars, allied
When speaking to companions regarding chantry, how did you respond?: I don't remember everything here. My Inquisitor was a devout believer, generally pro-reform but not too pro-magic.
Did you do any of the war table operations to support a divine candidate? Did any come up at all?: None came up.
Did you support a divine candidate through dialogue with them?: Leliana. I favored Leliana in the conversation with Vivienne, too. When talking to Cassandra, I told her that there are other ways to change things.
Who did you side with on the civil war?: Celene, reunited with Briala
Cassandra disband the seekers?: No, I urged her to rebuild and reform them.
Leliana Kill/Spared Traitor at Haven/Sister at Chantry?: Spared both and softened her outlook.
Leliana told she was right to keep her scouts safe, or that she was wrong?: I told her she was right to look out for her agents.

IMPORTANT POINT :

If I didn't discourage Cassandra to become divine she ends up being divine (question "do you really want to be divine" in normal conversation). When discouraged, Leliana takes her place. So this template is not the surest way to get Leliana as divine.

The good side is : I could easily change who would become divine in the endgame with a simple line of dialogue.

I told her "If you don't want it, tell them so" in the first Divine-talk which features Mother Giselle trying to convince Cassandra, and "Is that something you actually want?" in the non-cutscene talk afterwards. Still remained locked to Cass. Maybe there's another line I overlooked?

My second play through and I was aiming at Viv being divine to keep the status-quo.

Template:

Templars joined the Inquisition, freely.
Agreed with Viv that the Circles were necessary and needed to be re-instated.
Did a war-table mission to support Viv as the next Diviine.
Told Cassandra to disband the Seekers
Put Gaspard in power in Orlais, Celene was murdered, not sure what happened to the Elf.
Wardens were banished.
Told both Cassandra and Leliana that I did not agree with their ideas of being Divine on all occasions.  Disagreed with all their arguments and never supported the Chantry.
At the after works party at the end Cassandra says she will be named Divine soon!  Told her then she was wrong too.

But yup, in the slides it showed Cassandra was the next Divine. Its hard to avoid talking to Cassandra about Chantry/Divine matters as that is her main topic of conversation.  I thought dis-agreeing with her and not supporting her at all would have been enough to throwing her off, as there isn't much else to do to push Viv or Lelianna ahead in the game.

Is there anyway you can go into the game's files and change the data?

Divine election
Cassandra points: -7
Leliana points: 0
Vivienne points: 18
Election state: 0
Cassandra is Divine: False
Leliana is Divine: False
Vivienne is Divine: True

Can't I just give Vivienne 0 points and then boost Leliana's numbers up to 18?
