Does anyone know how DPS is calculated or what's important to look for in weapons (in this case for a mage)? Obviously Magic inceeases attack but so does Willpower...Then you have the DPS of the weapon and the actual damage. When you look at the attributes page you don't actually get a "damage" number just "attack" which is a percentage that says damage is increased by this amount and "main hand/off hand damage".

I've noticed that both the Magic and Willpower attributes boost the "attack" percentage, but the damage number is always the amount of elemental damage a weapon deals. So if a staff does 30 fire damage the "main hand damage" is always 30 regardless of any upgrades or the attributes. So am I supposed to take that damage number and add in the attack percentage to get an actual damage stat or what?

Weapons have a DPS but I can't see where that number comes from. I've tried adding and removing magic/willpower upgrades from weapons to see if the DPS changes and it does not.

Any ideas??

Lol agreed. It can't be that complicated because the game auto upgrades your attributes anyways...But I would like to know so I can choose weapons and upgrades, etc. I'm sure someone knows...
