I've noticed that, when doing regular attack that there's a 1-2 second 'just stand there' dead time before that animation is finally 'finished' and you are allowed to move.

 

I can understand (though don't agree with) no moving and attacking, I don't understand why I have to stand in place for a couple of seconds after finishing an attack to start moving.
