I had a feeling that something bad would happen so i drank it myself. I didn't want to risk something bad happening to Morrigan because of Kieran.
My inquis drank because she is Dalish and figured it was her duty and privilege to take one for the people.
Where's the problem? There must be a bad side for taking so much information.
Then, I can't really believe either Flemeth is really dead. At the Well, it is said that Mythal had been killed. and creating a bound between Morrigan or the Inquisitor and Flemeth just to forget it instantly... But we'll see.
Also now i wonder what would have happened if Cory drank it lol

Because, you know, somehow saying 'use this pool of water with some amount of hemoglobin containing cells and plasma in order to bind other humans to your will and listen to demons give you ancient magical knowledge' is entirely, inconceivably, irreconcilably different from 'use this pool of unknown liquid to be bound to someone's will and hear the spirits of the dead give you ancient elven knowledge'.
everything I did in inquisition was for the elves so of course I drank it. I Didn't realizd flemeth would be Mythal though. My inquis drank because she is Dalish and figured it was her duty and privilege to take one for the people.
anything with the word hemoglobin makes me wanna say no. Ugly big words gross. Ancient magical elven things just sounds cool.Because, you know, somehow saying 'use this pool of water with some amount of hemoglobin containing cells and plasma in order to bind other humans to your will and listen to demons give you ancient magical knowledge' is entirely, inconceivably, irreconcilably different from 'use this pool of unknown liquid to be bound to someone's will and hear the spirits of the dead give you ancient elven knowledge'.

Yeah, the Chantry doesn't really like Hemoglobin Magic.

Spoiler
no idea, could be.
Well I am so going to drink from that well because I want more drama. ![]()
So there's no option to not use the Well? I used it in my playthrough but never explored the option to take the Elves' offer and not.

The only gameplay difference the well makes is:
You Drink: Your Dragon hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life
Morrigan drinks: Her Dragon form hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life.
No one drinks: Fight RLD full life.
Story wise in DLC/ DA4? Someone's not going to be able to touch Flemeth or not.
There is no need to start a new tread, so I'll ask it under here: Flemeth took the old god soul, right?
They said Inquisition would be Morrigan's human side and they weren't ****** about. I was shocked at how much it upset me that Flemeth stole Keiran's sole. I don't care if she's Mythal, my Warden killed her once and would happily kill her again. >.>
But other than that, this arc was my favourite of the series by far. I love Elvish lore and I love the idea of three God entities merging to form a protector of Thedas or what ever. Shame the Old God soul had to be stolen, but I trust Bioware to make the sacrifice of my Warden childs destiny be worth while. >.>

Seems like it since at the end of the reunion something leaves Kieran's body and enter Flemeth's and they mention something about him no longer having any dreams that's probably related to him having the old god soul.

He also say's that he feels lonely now, and since we know that god souls live with mortal souls and not just take them over ala Flemeth, it makes sense since he is just his own soul now.
Ok, I'm not nearly that far in teh game (restarted 2 15+ hour playthroughs after finding something nitpicky I didn't like about my characters, plus at least 10 other 2+ hour ones - I'm SO bad about picking my character's appearance apart, she must be perfect!) but I've watched quite a few videos. I had a disturbing thought...

Possible
Spoiler
Really unlikely. From the conversation beforehand it is pretty obvious that Flemeth is about to sacrifice herself.
That whole conversation would make zero sense if it was actually Flemeth/Mythral taking over Solas/Dreadwolf.
I got a question:
Is it really possible to NOT drink from the well? Because I allied with the ancient elves and they still allowed me to drink in the end.
Oh, shoot, I was holding out hope I could maybe not have him leave *sniff* Ah well, have to hope for DLC or DA4 carry over then.

So you don't have to drink from it if you leave and let the ancient elves help you fight Samson/that mage woman?
I didn't realize there's an option not to drink it. In the end, it's either you or her. I decided to drink it myself, thinking that since I'm playing rogue, at least if something bad happens, it will not unleash a powerful mage + guardian/slave to a god with unknown intentions. Completely forgot that I would still be able to control the rifts, which is basically the same as magic (duh). At least Morrigan has a happy ending. For now.
The inquisitor should really, really, retire right after this is over. And maybe fade into obscurity and disband the inquisition, or give it to someone else not under the influence of untrustworthy power. If someone were to kill her later, all the better. I hate this whole "serve Flemeth" idea.
Its for all eternity. Dont know how this affects afterwards in the ending when
Spoiler
I believe she has another vessel. Remember, this isn't the first time she has appeared to 'die'.
Also, Mythal isn't a bad deity.

What happens in the cutscene between her and Morrigan when Morrigan tries to attack her if nobody drank from the well?
