What happens in the cutscene if
1) you and Morrigan do not drink from the well
AND
2) Morrigan did not perform the ritual in DA:O and therefore, does not have a son?

You are forced to either drink from the well yourself or let Morrigan do it.
And it's just a banter between Flemeth, where Morrigan is afraid for her own life.

Ok, I'm not nearly that far in teh game (restarted 2 15+ hour playthroughs after finding something nitpicky I didn't like about my characters, plus at least 10 other 2+ hour ones - I'm SO bad about picking my character's appearance apart, she must be perfect!) but I've watched quite a few videos. I had a disturbing thought...
Possible
Spoiler
A tip for you, since you seem to be like me...
Have two (or more) saves, one (or more) that you're doing for the story and one that you will always restart until you get it perfect, eventually you will finish the game, perhaps multiple times before getting the "main save" to perfection =P

Really unlikely. From the conversation beforehand it is pretty obvious that Flemeth is about to sacrifice herself.
That whole conversation would make zero sense if it was actually Flemeth/Mythral taking over Solas/Dreadwolf.
I got a question:
Is it really possible to NOT drink from the well? Because I allied with the ancient elves and they still allowed me to drink in the end.
Thanks, I don't think I've seen the full conversation between them then, or missed something. Puts my mind at ease. I'd much rather be under Solas' (hopefully) benevolent control, than Flemeth's.
Also, I think someone further back questioned Flemeth's human appearance if she's supposed to be an Elven Goddess, and I think I may have an answer for that - Flemeth takes the body of her daughters, and all it would take is for one of them to have had a human father. Since there are no "Half-Elves" in this universe, only elf-blooded humans that are genetically human, that would do it. Living in the Korcari Wilds for so long, a great many of her daughters probably had Chasind fathers.

Yeah, if I get a dialog I wasn't intending, or a reaction I didn't expect, I'll reload if I have a fairly recent save (hard or auto). I need to get in the habit of quick saving - my game has been so rock stable, I've made a hard save, and realized my last one was 7+ hours ago.
Thank the Creators for autosave.

At first I chose for my inquisitor to drink from the well, then I went back and let Morrigan drink. I honestly cant decide which choice to stick with. For those that has finished the game, which one is the "best" option. Having to serve Flemeth as the inquisitor has its setbacks for sure, but making Morrigan serve her mother just seems cruel, but in the end, could have a better outcome in future dlc's. Bioware, why you do this to me?

Can I just clear this up?
Someone needs to drink from the well.
I don't know why people are saying there's an option not to, because there isn't. You can ally with the elves and still someone needs to drink from the well, either your Inquisitor or Morrigan. Keep in mind that if you or Morrigan don't drink from the well, Corypheus would get it, so one of them has to do it. You can ask your party members to do it but they all say no. Consider also that "The Final Piece" mission wouldn't take place at all if no one drank from the well.

Yep Lex is right. It's Quisitor or Morrigan. Like many have said the implication probably comes later rather than DAI game ending.
I wonder if Solas took both soles...or just the Old God's

Personally I think Solas sent the souls to where all the other gods are trapped leaving the mortal world to well mortals. Cause its hardly like solas has interfered in the mortal world and he has been around since the start. He gave the orb to old darkspawny but then joined you to fix his mistake but either way hopefully we'll all find out what happened one way or another in the next game/book/story

does anyone have a link to what happens if Kieran is born WITHOUT the Old God Soul and if Morrigan is still the one who drinks from the Well?
or what happens if no dark ritual but morrigan still drinks from the well?

So I just got through with the Well of Sorrows quest and allowed
SpoilerI'm beginning to seriously regret my decision already, but the last save I had was from about an hour before I even started the quest. What I want to know is if its worth the trouble of reloading to go through with a different decision, or if the plot doesn't change at all and somehow basically the same thing happens.
Im happy that i let Morrigan drink from the well in the end.

"A soul is not forced upon the unwilling" this is true also for the archedemon, the difference between Flemeth and Kieran is that Mythal chose flemeth while Urthemiel was forced to go on kieran body, and this is why Flemeth was able to take the soul easly from Kieran, flemeth and Mythal are the same being Urthemiel and Kieran are two different souls.
I belive also that FLemeth is still alive because you have the option to spare one of her body in DAO so i belive that there are more than 2 Flemeth, so Morrigan are forever bounded to her mother, or even if Solas killed her this means that Mythal is inside Solas (i dont belive so 2 gods in one body?......too much) so morrigan is bounded to the Dread wolf.
I'm happy only for the archedemon now after millenia of agony he is free really free from anyone.

Flemeth is dead for real and she is part of Solas. I don't freaking understand your post.

Well good thing that I have some trust in Solas or otherwise my Inquisitor would screw things up!

Ugh, did they really kill Flemeth? She's a much cooler character than South Park alien Solas. Maybe the voice actress is too busy with Orange Is The New Black and other projects so she requested the character retired...

I'm am more concerned if it will have any effects in future content. I hope not, since I chose not to drink from the well.. because if the well drinker becomes a slave of Mythal.. and Solas takes Mythals essence... hmmmm - truthfully, I don't like the thought of Morrigan being that closely connected to Solas ... and here comes the jealousy and frustration of my choices.. :|

Can anyone please send me a save game file from the point where you decide who drinks from the well?
Thanx in advance

I gonna clarify this to you: THIS GAME´S DECISIONS DON´T IMPACT GAMEPLAY IN ANY WAY AND DON´T HAVE ANY REAL CONSEQUENCE AT ALL. In caps, so everyone can see it better.
Now about your choice, the only difference aside of a lines of text and different aproval increases or decreases is that if you drink, you have to fight a dragon later in order to tame it to fight Cory´s dragon (you deplete half his health and the fight ends) and you unlock an achievement that you can´t unlock if Morrigan drinks, which makes that the most meaningful and impact decision in the game, and that´s laughable.
Can anyone please send me a save game file from the point where you decide who drinks from the well?
Thanx in advance
Better say for what system and region is that save file or otherwise it´s pointless to ask for it. Although, unless it is for PC, I don´t think it will work.
That said, you have youtube to watch how the other choice plays and anyways it doesn´t matter because, as I said: THIS GAME´S DECISIONS DON´T IMPACT GAMEPLAY IN ANY WAY AND DON´T HAVE ANY REAL CONSEQUENCE AT ALL. And considering you also have the DA: Keep to edit any choice in order to import your World State for a future Dragon Age game, you don´t really need a savefile (that most probably won´t work for you) at all
Do you guys know of a way to stop both my inquisitor and Morrigan from drinking out of the well?
You can´t
