dont know if im in the right section but where do i craft stuff other than armour and weapons i know haven is for that but where excatly can i craft runes or do i need to find them in the game ???
also how do i add upgrades to my armour sorry im a massive noob at this game but its fun playing it
and where is skyhold ??? im like lvl 9 and still dont know where to go ??
also when trying to get into redcliffe i see a massive dragon there do i have to kill it first to go to redcliffe or is the another route to the place ???

You need to go to Skyhold and hire an artificer, just keep doing main missions and you will get there.

What he didn't tell you is skyhold is later in the game. You can't get runes yet. You don't have to kill the dragon yet. There is another route just west of that.
