IGN has a great video of the Knight Enchanter build in action using Vivienne.

Start of video explains the build, but from this mark they start playing and showing it against a dragon. Looks great, if you like the get in your face melee style of play. 

 

While the player was good at it, it seems if that barrier drops for just a second you would be toast, though. Its all or nothing

I can't be sure, but I imagine this was on Normal.

Just killed the fereldan frostback with viv and an adapted build for lvl 14 on hard. You have to pay attention to the barrier all the time, but if you do its rather easy.

I played around with it, and yeah. It'll take a while, but you can do it. Not what I'd call fun but there it is.

Could you put a video up of that?  I find on nightmare dragons will stunlock you in one-shot you unless you are very good at timing your invulnerability.

I have been trying it out with Vivienne, encouaged me to hurry a nightmare palythough before KE gets nerffed.
