My mind is in turmoil as of now. I've been thinking of getting a console for a while, but I couldn't figure out which one I desire until recently. I've decided that if I was to get a console that PS4 would be my choice. 

 

For the investment is it worth the cost? I would be spending total of $1,500 for the system among other accessories, and some tweaks for a much larger memory. I've browsed through some of the games  that's available, and not many came close to being desirable. I realize that this system isn't all that old, but I don't want to invest in a system where I will only be playing 1 or 2 games.

 

Is purchasing a PS4 worth the investment?

Considering all these fiasco and lacking:

 

AC: Unity

Destiny

No Fallout/ES

No Dark Souls

No good racing game

 

No.

But it seems DA:I is running better on consoles.

Nope. Not yet at least. Until you run out of games to play on PS3/360 the 3ds and the vita you probably shouldn't bother. The more you wait the better off you will be.

if you're ready to spend up to 1500 bucks, why not buy a PC? Unless you are specifically eyeing the console for its exclusive games, putting that much money on a counter would benefit you better with a PC, both in short and longterm.

A word of warning, my PS4 bit the dust 2 hours into Inquisition (it got caught in the safe mode death loop, I was able to fix it, but it got to where it would shut down while playing). It was 11 months old, properly cared for and the least used of all my consoles. 11 months old...  because of this, I recommend the Xbox One.

I am actually thinking of purchasing another gaming PC. I just want to see if getting a PS4 was worth it, especially when theirs not a whole lot of good games available.

You're joking? That's bad for a 11 month old system. Nah I don't want an Xbox One. I would probably purchase another Gaming PC.

1500 bucks will get you an amazing PC, probably running 2 970s in SLI or whatever. I mean..... 1500 dollars..... Beast Mode Gaming PC. No question.

Damn that sucks. Is this a common problem with this system? Is their no other way around it other than to choose option 7? Sounds like a pain in the ass if anything else. Sorry to hear that you lost your data because of this issue.

Even as someone who is a console gamer I'd say wait on it. There aren't really a ton of games out yet, although if you subscribed to PS Plus you will get a handful of games each month to check out. This is a great deal if you own a PS3 and Vita as well. Can't speak on X-box since I only have Playstation consoles.

The right answer is to buy a PC. but if you insist on refusing assention into the masterrace and submit to peasantry, it is known PS4 is better than the Xbone.

The newest update made it common if you go into Rest Mode (which was what came in the new console update), but I never did. I booted up my console and left the room without looking at it, it was in safe mode when I came back, I am speculating that it may have went into Rest Mode on its own, because I went a little bit (probably, 10-20 minutes) without interacting with it.

 

I tried all the options, the console would just restart and not actually do any of the options everytime I selected one. The console wouldn't turn off, there was no way to turn it off when it is in safe mode, even holding down on the power button for 3 minutes doesn't work.
