I know you can't buy gifts, but is there any gifts in the game?

What are these statuettes?

 

There are so many valuables.. i don't want to accidentally sell things I can actually use.

My policy on it is sell any valuables that doesn't have a description

Yeah I've been wondering the same.

 

I am now hoarding them just in case I need them later, although I have a sneaking suspicion that they are only made for selling.

 

Hopefully someone who has played deeper into the game can clarify further..

They are just there for selling, except for the items that are needed for research or requisitions, which those two have descriptions, anything else is just loot to make money

I was drawing that conclusion myself, thankyou for the confirmation.  I think I'll just head to Haven between missions, use the items I need for research or requisitions, and then sell everything off.
