Mine went horribly wrong,I died multiple times due to one part being under leveled and me being a stubborn idiot who kept coming back to that particulary dragon.'-_-
However later on after 9 levels I killed a dragon today after a hour long fight that was filled with strategic hacking of its limbs and using Blackwall and Cassandra as tanks,while my mage and Sera did most of the damage from a distance.Tomorrow I will have my revenge against that dragon though.
That sounds like what I tried to do,except I got sucked in by that dragon's wind storm.
Pretty good at first, I thought. I had her down to half health and then it all went horribly wrong. Fireballed the whole party in one shot.
So I killed a bunch of her young and made myself a fire-resistant coat out of their skins for when I go back and try again.
Well first time i say a dragon i was very low on levels and i thought well that road is blocked and so i run away.
Saw the dragon and decided to go exploring else.
I ran away at the lower levels. At level 11 I figured hey, I can take on that Hinterlands dragon. It's my level. We're good.
I had 12 potions. I'm playing on casual mode. After about twenty minutes to a half hour, my party finally gave up the ghost. I think I got the thing down to half health if that. I'm level 15 and have yet to face a dragon again. XD
A lot of running, yelling and dying
Cas Tanked it like a boss,while i hacked at its legs with my 2hd sword, varric took fireballs to the face and solas didn't move out of fire... but it did die after a lot of potions and cursing at solas and varric
It flew away.
No seriously, I decided to suck it up and run into battle while it was fighting a giant and it just flew off as I got close. I haven't seen another since then...probably for the best lol.
Went past it, stole all its loot from its stash under the cliff and then ran back to camp.
I'll be back for you later, dragon.
I hope I'll fare better than in my first encounter with a bear.
Ya, got fire balled so i ran. I ran so far away...
I was utterly and completely obliterated beyond all recognition. 
My character was a burn mark on the ground in a matter of about 12 seconds.
I was blanking out sometime while was getting all the landmarks in the hinterlands... saw some dragonlings... wondered where the hell these massive fireballs where coming from
Got through them... walked 10 more steps the big one landed and thought 'yeah, 5/12 potions, no grenades and an undergeared viv.. i am so ready'.
Maybe lasted 30 seconds =P
I had two encounters. First one was in Hinterlands, and I just though that the dragon will fly pretty in the background. When I realized it's coming straight at me, it was a bit too late - i started running but half of my party got obliterated in one fireball hit.
The second one was at the Storm Coast, fighting a giant. When it killed a giant is spewed an electricity ball straight at me, but I managed to run away. Over 60 thousand HP and full guard bar didn't really encourage me to fight it on level 8 
.
I heard a dragon and NOPE'd out of there.
Wow, talk about a crazy fight. Have to say, it was the most intense battle with a dragon I had in any game, much better than just hacking away at one mindlessly.
Started off ok, but noticed it was going to be a long fight real quick. Party members were falling down left and right about a quarter way through the fight and stayed that way till the end.
Killed the beast on my first attempt but I was lucky, I would revive a party member and another would fall, revive them and 2 party members would fall, scramble to revive them and every so often all of them would be back on their feet and start doing some damage again but not for long.
After that ordeal, when I went to the coast for the first time and saw the dragon circling the zone entrance, I ran out of the place screaming like a girl, haha!
I took a fireball to the face, picked myself up, and ran away as fast as possible while constantly clicking disengage
