OK no. I have been in The Astrarium cave and found no mosiac (or if I previously picked it up it isn't for Freed the Slaves as I have no pieces of that) and the prima guide doesn't show the pieces for Freed The Slaves anyway. I have search all 10 Hinterlands and 2 Valammar locations. I still sit at 11/12. The wolf's den one is the only one I have no memory of ever picking up.

And to answer you questions YES, the Prima guide does show the Mosiac pieces in Valammar.

The prima guide does show Freed the Slaves, Checked the map for Crestwood or Western Approach. Mind posting the Valammar map?

I'm not going to post the Valammar map, because I don't want to go to the trouble, but the map in the Prima Guide does actually show the mosaic pieces. One is in the room with the second Vault gear (shown in a BioWare Twitch stream) and the second is in the Vault itself. Both of those pieces are for The Fall and both are shown on the Prima Guide map for Valammar, precisely where they are in the game.

The guide does show the Freed Are Slaves pieces, but it can be rather difficult to tell which pieces are part of which set, since it's only stated in the description of a quest or hint if one is given. However, there are 14 pieces called out in the Prima Guide as part of the Freed Are Slaves collection, though two of them are in The Lost Temple of Dirthamen (Found through the Exalted Plains) and likely part of the Invasion set instead. That still leaves 12 Freed Are Slaves pieces called out, none of which are in the Hinterlands or any Astrarium caves (potentially barring the Crestwood Astrarium cave as Crestwood has five Freed Are Slaves pieces and the Prima Guide does not show the location of the Astrarium caves on its maps).

Same issue with WA - I have killed that dragon long time ago and the cave entrance is still blocked .... also got 10/12 in Hinterlands and 8/12 Freed are slaves + 2/12 Invasion (so far)

Try using a warrior with the Grappling Chain ability. I used it on the slight gap to the left of the stone and the side of the cave. Blew up the rock on the first try. Apparently, from what others have said, you don't even need to kill the dragon first.

This, peopl take note! I've seen this complaint many times and Grappling Chain is the solution. Spread the word, people.

It's been what, two weeks, and not a single dev response or acknowledgement.

I hate to be THAT guy, you know, the one that accuses developers of some tiny mistake, but come on. I'm okay with them taking the time to fix it, fine, whatever, priorities. But not even responding to an issue that's been at the top of the subforum for over two weeks?

Up your game guys, seriously.

Agreed. I contacted their customer support and their responses were vague at best. I say we all keep complaining untill they respond in some official capacity.

I just contacted them as well. I also spent over 20 hours trying to find the last zone of Exalted Plains and the mosaic piece of Hinterlands without success... This is really driving me crazy.

Just thought of something. Eventhough the Prima guide shows the mosaic piece to be in wolf hollow, it might not be. I bought it 2 days ago and have already found a few pretty big flaws in their map markers. Its possible that this mosaic piece is simply marked improperly, and we've been searching in the wrong place the whole time. I've just sent an email off to Prima to see what they say.

FWIW, I've tried approaching the spot marked on the map from every direction so that I could search in the general vicinity. The problem is that it's completely blocked off by impassable terrain. The only ways to get remotely close are Wolf's Hollow and the astrarium cave. Even the piece supposedly by Tyrdda's Lover, whose marker is slightly NW of the actual position of the piece (by the cabin in Redcliffe Farms) is decently close. You can't even get near to the "Wolf's Hollow" piece, which makes it impossible to look around.

If the marker is even vaguely accurate (and that's a big "if," I admit!), I have a suspicion that perhaps there was supposed to be some way to exit Wolf Hollow's to the east, given the stair-like rocks around the sides of the hollow. I haven't found a way to do it, but those damned rocks tempt me every time...

ETA: But of course, thanks for getting in touch with Prima! Definitely let us know if they reply.

@virtus753 I'm suggesting that the marker is completly off. There was a quest marked on the hinterlands sidequest map in the Prima guide that was on the far west region, but should have been at Calenhad's Foothold. Thats the most extreme example I've found so far, but it illustraits the point: if the guide can be that off, there might actually not be a piece in wolf hollow.

I'll post what I hear from Prima, and if they can't give me anything useful, I'll contact Bioware again. Maybe they'll be less vague this time.

Point. I didn't know there was a quest that far off. The mosaic tiles have been fairly accurate, though, even if the actual tiles are sometimes bugged/ridiculously hard to find. (I still haven't found one of the Invasion set that I swear should be in the Dead Hand in the Exalted Plains, but that's probably down to my own stupidity.)

I hope you're right and we can stop trying to scale walls with mounts Skyrim-style in order to find these blasted things.

This is why I hate Prima maps. They're sloppy and inaccurate, and often based on early development maps that have little to no relation to the zone that finally makes it live. Plus they use huge icons and small pictures for their maps, making it very difficult to tell where *exactly* something is located.

Still though, the errors I've encountered have been less than 1% of the information in the guide. The descriptions of the quests have been spot on so far. I think the piece IS glitched, but I just want to make sure we cover all the bases.

THE FALL MOSAIC: All in the Hinterlands.

1: Lake Luthias Cabin. Southside of cabin outside near the chest. This cabin is where you find Blackwall.

2: Winterwatch Tower. Top floor of the northern tower in the little keep with the cultists.

3: Redcliffe Road. In the main tower of the ruined gate near the rift just north of Crossroads.

4: West Road. Burning square house almost directly north of Upper Lake Camp or east of Fort Connor. It’s near the shard.

5: Inside Fort Connor right next to the landmark.

6: Redcliffe Farms. Cabin on the east side of the farm where the prize druffalo is returned to

7: Dead Ram Grove. Glitched and requires a mount and mountain climbing to get to near the Dungeon entrance.

8: Dead Ram Grove inside the Dungeon.

9: Grand Forest Villa. Top of the tallest tower on the western side.

10: Should be in Wolfs Den area, so far not found

11: Valammar. Inside the vault.

12: Valammar. Halls of the Elders in the chamber with the crank piece.

I found all of them relatively close to where they show on the Prima maps. Not exactly where but close. The piece in Wolfs Den makes me wonder if it's up on that center pillar. Can't quiet make it up there but either way it's clearly missing somewhere. This was done on a fresh character made strictly to roam all over Hinterlands on Xbox One though so I've not gotten any update to see if it's in a spot I missed.

I played yesterday for the first time after the update. Now is the search function really usefull. Now makes the radar sense. I think they want to make it like this from the beginning but its doesn't work

I think the 12th piece in hinterlands can only be found (when its really on the map) by using a noclip mode...

I can confirm that piece 11 is obtainable in the ps3 version in the glitchy area. Luckily the new search feature pointed out that I missed it and pinged/highlighted it. Actually you really only need the horse for it, not a nugrider... So you can in theory get this even before the templar/mage choice.

As for the 12th elusive piece I was looking at a few places that made sense. In the room with the bag and loot bag in the wolfs den is a 'window' of light. We've seen how those windows tend to lead somewhere before and maybe thats the case, but no way to get there.

My other thought was as everybody elses that it was actually in the area of the druffalo... I did see alot of scalable areas there and a few that would make sense for the piece to be. sadly I don't have the long range search to see if it would come up...

Also the new search is a bit inaccurate and wont ping some things Ive noticed. (Restarted after patch and going through up to mage/templar choice noticed it 3 times.)

the ps3 version did update the mosaics to 11/12.

Theres my tidbit for the day.

I went through all places, 2-3 times each, still missing one piece.

I don't remember seeing on in the Wolve's Den, but I can't swear it.  All I know is there's nothing there for me now.

Since I'm not the only one, it's either extremely difficult to find, or it is a bug, one of many with the minor quests.

Got the update yesterday (yaaaay the search function is useful now!) and I'm not seeing it either. Though I've just gotten to skyhold, perhaps it doesn't spawn the piece until then for some reason. Seems plausable, but a longshot. Will check with Harold (named him that to make the game seem less formal, I'm on a first name basis with everyone) when I get home. For those wanting to know how to contact bioware, here is a link: http://help.ea.com/e...age-inquisitionor just google "bioware customer support".

I don't know whats worse, the fact this seems bugged or that fact that the nice fancy Prima Guide... seems more like a book of suggestions then an actual guide.

Seriously, I paid money for the hardback edition of the guide since I knew I was going to like this game...

Talk about friggen useless.  This thing is pretty much trash.  I've already had to spend HOURS on a writeup for Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts becasue the Prima guide covers about 1/10th of what you want to know.  It pretty much "guides" you through to the worst possible ending and skips EVERYTHING ELSE...then the guide's "companion reactions" section to this thing is just PLAIN DEAD WRONG...with it listing reactions to companions that don't happen and not listing reactions that do.  FFS, I can get Cole to both Approve and Disapprove of the SAME ACTION at the SAME ENDING depending on what I do during the quest.

The prima guide is one writeup that will probably get you from point A (Game start) to Point B (Game End) in a way to play it.  Beyond that, it's not a guide in any way...It's A walk through for A way to play the game, and that's just about it.

SECOND:

I just checked the area noted on page 4 (wolf hollow) both with an original save prior to having explored that content, and an exploration after attaining Skyhold, as well as after completeing Wicked eyes/Wicked Hearts...none of those saves have a mosaic piece up on level 2 near either of the chests up there.

I think I can totally confirm, there is no piece in wolf hollow.

I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but as I was stumbling around the wolfs den I noticed terrain getting destroyed.  Perhaps our missing piece is located within destroyed terrain or is in an area that can only be gotten to after destrying the proper terrain features.  If far enough from the player it wont show up on search.   Might just be a fools errand but worth a shot.
