The only way to know is if someone searches every inch of the map or a dev confirms. Neither has happened yet.

You might check to see if the badly placed 11th piece is still there, that could be a good indicator as to if the 12th is fixed, but that's still only speculation.

This website has great inside to what will be updated. Didn't say anything about Mosaic pieces but did state Increased duration that search highlights things, and added highlighted items to radar while they are highlighted. If this is the case someone might be able to find the last piece in hinterlands. I am ready to finish this game but I have to complete it 100%

 

Seriously? That would actually make the search function something beyond a radar! Thats...  useful! I've never used that word to describe a feature in a bioware game before.... I like it.

Well, I've been back to the Wolf's Den, still no mosaic as of yet, guess still bugged

I've searched Wolf Den the best I could with the update no piece. I will try to search the area where the high dragon is located. If anyone has time maybe you could search the area as well. Best of Luck

I don't have the update myself, but if they're really not fixed, we should all send angry emails to the devs. Before we unleash our wrath, someone should start a new game to check with the new patch, and search both the wolf den, the astrium cave, and the valley of the burned man, as well as checking to see if the other piece is still glitched.

Arthx could you reload the saved game and see how far out the radar picks up on the mosaic piece in the bugged location. That will kind of help how close we should be if the 12th one is bugged as well.

I just tested. It's pretty much the distance shown on my screenshot.

Ok Thanks I search the ASTRARIUM cave and came away with nothing

I just checked the bugged piece from a previous saved game and when I wasn't on the same level as it, it did not appear on my search radar. When I jumped to the top of the dungeon exterior next to it, It was about 40% of the distance to the edge of my radar. If other mosaic pieces also aren't detected by the searching unless you're on the same level as you, it's not going to make it any easier.

 

Here's a screenshot of the maximum distance I could move away from the mosaic piece and still have it show up on search and radar. If I take even a half step farther away, I no longer see it.

 

 

And just to show that it you can be much closer, but not on the same level and have it not show up:

Thanks for the effort and the screen shots. If we have to be on the same level we have to get lucky to find it. Does anybody know a way to get on top of the middle spiral in wolf hollow. I have tried jumping for the last 30 mins and can't not find a way up.

I doubt they are going to make any patch on this. I found an image someone posted on another game site almost seven days ago for their Hinterlands Mosaic collection. Only thing is that person seems unwilling to share a hint or tell where the final piece is located.

I'm guessing they just used the console to complete the quest. Sadly, this is not an option on consoles, which is 80% of their market so BIOWARE NEEDS TO FRAKING FIX THIS!

I managed to get through the invisible wall over Wolf Hollow and managed to ride around all over the mountains around that location. Nothing. So I headed north and around the edge of the map to the Grand Forest Villa. Jumped down onto the tower with the missing ladder. Nothing there either. Here's a couple of screenshots of the top and middle of the tower and some shots of my travels, just for your amusement.

 

 

The castle on the island NE of Redcliffe that you reach by riding across the bottom of the ocean (and is also off the Hinterlands map) was kind of fun.

So I just got done talking to EA customer support. No confirmation on when it will be patched, but they said it would be reported to the "higher authorities". I also mentioned the exalted plains bug to them, with basically the same response. They were nice, but with how structured and generic their responses were, it was almost like I was talking to a cleverbot.

He could have just used cheat engine or something along those lines to achieve that. I tried doing the same thing to finish the quest - got the 12/12, but still couldn't hand it in.

It does not, only quarries and logging stands, arguably the most useless perk in the game since after those 3 upgrades to Skyhold + the first ever requisition you get at Haven there is nothing that uses those resources.

 

 

Also, anyone saying they are not bugged sure is lucky. The ones in the Western Approach for example are impossible to obtain for me, because after the dragon fight I left and now the stone blocking the cave is still there with the dragon dead. There is no way to tell if I have already gotten one in my travels, forcing me to go back to every. single. place. marked on these maps. On those maps, they are useless, since they didn't steal Skyrim's map for some reason, when they should have. It's impossible to tell if the pieces are in a place like Valammar or the Tevinter places in the Western Approach, or in a cave, due to the design they chose with this map. And to end my rant, due to bugs people have reported with the mosaic in the Hinterlands Wolf Lair for instance, its impossible when going back to those places to know if I really collected them or they're just not showing up due to the forementioned bugs.

 

Just please don't say this system is good/working as intended, it hurts my soul a little bit to read it.

Looking at the Prima Guide image here, there's 10 mosaics there, the one at the wolf's den is the slaves one from the astrarium cave(it's a little off, but some of the pieces are slightly off in the guide in other areas as well), the 8 normal "Fall" mosaics pieces are there and also that 1 bugged 'fall" mosaic is also there(barely visible but still there). What this means, is that the prima guide is actually showing the locations quite accurately, even for the bugged ones. So I'm thinking that the Hinderlands itself doesn't have the 12th piece. We know that 2 of the pieces are in Valammar. What if the 12th piece is also bugged but located somewhere in an area inside the Hinderlands, that would be Valammar, the Chantry or the Tavern(unless I missed another enclosed area). Anyone own a prima guide and know if there are maps for those areas?

I have the same problem, the entrance to that cave is still blocked, despite me slaying the dragon a while ago.

Try using a warrior with the Grappling Chain ability. I used it on the slight gap to the left of the stone and the side of the cave. Blew up the rock on the first try. Apparently, from what others have said, you don't even need to kill the dragon first.

Doesn't it say that the Fall is limited only to the Hinterlands?

OK no. I have been in The Astrarium cave and found no mosiac (or if I previously picked it up it isn't for Freed the Slaves as I have no pieces of that) and the prima guide doesn't show the pieces for Freed The Slaves anyway. I have search all 10 Hinterlands and 2 Valammar locations. I still sit at 11/12. The wolf's den one is the only one I have no memory of ever picking up.

And to answer you questions YES, the Prima guide does show the Mosiac pieces in Valammar.
