I tried searching google for answers but found nothing.

 

Using the Genesis 2 comic, if I choose to save the crew immediately that allows Kelly Chambers to survive, will she have any fish for me that I may or may not need to resolve conflicts to get? I ask this because I'm interested in the prejek paddlefish intel bonus once I complete ME3 once & import. 

 

Now I don't think this one needs Genesis 2 for it but anyway, if you choose the spacer background will you be able to have a chat with your mother or does that require a ME1&2 playthrough? 

 

Update: It would seem I've answered my own question. Yes the prejek paddlefish are included in the fish that are given by Kelly Chambers via the Genesis 2 comic. 

 

Now if I could figure out the 2nd question, will probably take a bit before I get there.

It's not just that Kelly needs to survive:

1. You must have dinner with her in your cabin.
2. Then have the discussion about your fish after.

Note that choosing Kelly and a couple of side characters you may never see anymore results in a couple of squadmates not being present. 

 

For your second question: Shepard does speak with his/her mother as a Spacer. I have a main save that was not imported from 1, but 2. I did use Genesis 1(not that I had a choice then). In the Citadel DLC, Shep was able to speak with her mother. I'm sure this applies regardless if you have played the previous games.

Ah ok thanks. I wasn't sure, I didn't want to redo ME1 again just for the extra little content. I know bout the squadmates though, but it's fine. I've already played through the entire series with everyone that could survive, alive. Well except for one mistake which was Kelly Chambers. I mistakenly chose the paragon option for her in the holding area. But I got my fish still.
