The "AAA" game industry and consoles are a joke at this point. They're just a joke. I mean...... Talk about shills and false advertising. Wow. 2014 is the weakest year in gaming I can remember. If you take GTA5, Metro Redux, Last of Us Redux (all 2013 titles) out of the list, what you have is basically only about 3 maybe 4 great games this year (Bayonetta 2, Sunset Overdrive, Wolfenstein and maybe Divinity: Original Sin) bout' it really. Pretty lame.

Depends on how you define a good game.

There's only one way to define a good game: Is it fun to play?

Then one question would be: are the older titles no longer fun, or how are the newer titles more fun?

Most people just migrate to a new installment in a franchise for no other reason that it's "new", even when for all intents and purposes, it's not.

True. I think that might be the biggest thing people have against CoD. It can look a bit unchanged from year-to-year

Destiny was a bit of a disappointment.

I was expecting a hell of a lot more.

All the hype generated is hype..........Is a lot of the money put into games now only going to marketing? :(

I was seriously considering getting a new console, but this year's games have really scared me off. Developers do this stuff because sales are rising even if they do nothing to justify it. They are also setting and resetting sales records on tiny DLCs. The consumers are doing it to themselves, honestly.
