I have been wandering the Exalted Plains for hours and have only found the one in Halin'sulahn.  Where are the other two?  It's frustrating at this point.

I have the same problem except I got the one in the grove.

Well I can tell you that the one in Halin'sulahn is located someone along the road between the water and burned out forts.  It's near the rubble of a building.

Seriously, whoever designed this quest really dropped the ball.  I don't complain about quests often, but this one is just awful. 

 

So there are no quest markers.  Okay, fine.  I can see the argument that some games are a little too spoon fed and gamers should have to work for things like specializations. 

 

But then, there are also no regions marked on maps.  So I have no idea where the regions even are in the Exalted Plains (one of the largest regions), which means I have to run around waiting for the area notification to pop up and tell me where I am.  Okay, fine again, I guess.  There's nothing wrong with having to search for a while.......

 

But THEN, the Exalted Plains have the most tedious quests that I've encountered in the game so far, in which dozens (and I actually mean dozens) of undead enemies spawn at dozens (and I actually mean dozens) of locations.  I move 30 seconds to explore and look for these damn specializations and then I have to spend 5 minutes in a battle.  Then I move 30 seconds and I end up in another 5 minute battle.  And you have to do them to "unlock" more areas within this region.  I've been working on this quest for HOURS now and I still only have one champion dueled. 

 

This is tedious and, frankly, it's sucking the fun out of the experience.  This quest is really a giant failure.

When I opened the grove I went through an arch into a circular kind of area took a left through another archway and kept going straight till I came across a champion.

 

To find the grove you need to unlock the north most camp, you will need to an area near a wolf statue mark it then go to the war room and unlock it.

I know.  It's so new that I can't even find a map online as a reference.  Do you mean that you found the one at the Desolate Bank?

Now I just need to find this damned "Desolate Bank".  It's got to be near water, right?  I walked the entire western coast and the riverbank near the Dalish and it's neither of those.

I meant the one in Halin'sulahn, I'm just after realising where the desolate bank is though. If you have Riverwatch camp unlocked its along there the bank I mean not the guy.

It's so late here (after 3:00am), but I just can't stop until I get this completed).

I'm giving up for the night.  I've been working on this quest for five hours.  It's a needle in a haystack and there's no way to know where this last guy is.  This is possibly one of the worst Bioware quests that I've ever encountered (rivaling the HK-47 needle in a haystack quest in SWTOR).  I'm thoroughly unimpressed with this.

 

I guess I'll have to try again in the morning.

Dude, I just found him if you fast travel to that Riverwatch Camp then go to the shore and follow it North while sticking to the shore you will find him in a small camp. I found him while collecting shards.

Thank you guys, i got the one at Hullsahan something, will now try to find the desolate bank one, sources say its literally at the riverwatch camp,  anyone got directions of the last one at the grove? is it north or west or south?

Wow.  I feel like a ******.  I didn't think to go around that mountain and continue the Desolate Beach on the other side.  I thought that since it changed to the Path of Flames for a bit, I was leaving the area altogether.  Would be helpful to have these regions marked on the map.  Thanks.

That's the problem, all guides say that you'll find one of the champions in Desolate Bank, when actually you'll find him in Desolate Beach. Though I agree, the areas should be well marked on the map.

PSA: I wasted a couple hours looking in the wrong place for the Desolate Bank champion because there is an image in the Dragon Age Wiki that shows the wrong location. This image shows up second in Google image search.

 

The correct location for the middle champion is NORTHEAST of the Riverwood camp (as mentioned by an earlier poster), NOT west of the camp as shown on that image. Go east from the camp to the Path of Flame, then north on the Path of Flame a short distance and you will spot the champion.

 

I've just added this image to the Dragon Age Wiki with the exact locations of the champions. This corrected the image that was previously there which had the wrong location for The Desolate Bank champion. Hope it's helpful. (Click for 1080p image)

You're lucky you got the Halin'Sulahn champion. He will sometimes wander over to the Western Ramparts, where that Orlesian Lieutenant who gives you the "Another Side, Another Story" quest will kill him and you'll never even know. Or at least that's what happened to me. I was strolling back across the bridge scooping up loot from clearing the ramparts, and there was his heraldry drop, sitting right there on the bridge. I might have wandered off and missed that!

 

But yeah, the various "Way of the Specialist" quests were terrible. The Rift Mage Venatori don't want to spawn in the first place, the Assassins completely fail to drop loot, and the Champions wander off and get killed while you're somewhere else. Meanwhile, I often have all the Wisp Essences, Nevarran Skulls, and Broken Pfilters I need before I even get out of the Hinterlands.
