A download for the digital download has just appeared in my EADM list, I received e-mails giving me my serial codes and my bank has confirmed I've been charged, but I have a question - the release date in the EU is for the 29th, not the 26th, so is this download the game or simply a pre-load? I'm er.... a bit over my download limit at the moment which needs settling, and in any case I don't need distractions right in the middle of exam season

Also I'm asking here because EA Support is ****

It's probably just the pre-load. I remember they did the same thing with Left 4 Dead (1&2). You can't play them before it's released but you don't have to wait for it all to be downloaded. At least I think that's the case.

I'm in the same boat. Installed it, but it wont start until release date, and I have no idea if thats 26th or 29th

Oh, an another thing. Did you get 2 codes? 1 serial and 1 cerebris network code?
I only got 1 code, my cerebris code was blank. Wonder if thats a mistake or not.

I got three codes, but only because I ordered the Digital Deluxe edition. I got 3 sets of codes though, so something obviously went wrong on your end

Mine is also Digital Deluxe version, but I only got 1 key. I sent EA an email, hoping they can help.

1 received 2 Kewys...one for ME2 Digital Deluxe and 1for Cerberus



I think something went wrong there...again...reminds me of Dragon:Age O.ô

.. I wonder if EA accidentally giving out access to Europeans early might mean that other digital retailers will be allowed to as well?



(Hoping so since I got the direct2drive.co.uk version) - if not the other retailers(both real and online) are going to be pissed that EA broke release date early, even if it was a mistake.



They are basically getting a competitive advantage if they did release it this early!

You guys can consider yourselves lucky. I got the Cerberus and collector stuff keys, but not the game's one T_T

I wont be able to preload the game and start playing it at midnight. Can I punch someone in the mouth ?

My cd key got added automaticaly when I installed it from EADM (EA store program). didnt have to enter mine, so maybe you can still play

kinda annoying that you can download and install and then get shafted in the ### because the creator of the game are racists and want the "eurotrash" to wait 3 more days than the rest

Actually they are just following the release dates of the retailers(traditionally Friday in Europe).

i could just got a physical disc instead of getting it digital then



and the retailers should suffer if they did not chose to have digital download for sale

btw are you saying that if retailers rel date was a bit sooner we could have rel date before USA ?

I only got the ME2 code, not the cerberus or whatever else i was supposed to get with DDE. if you got it from EA store, don't worry, you can preload and install it anyway, as your serial is automatically inserted into the installer package, you don't actually need to type it in when you install.

Well anyway the release date in NA is tomorrow so maybe the game will unlock tomorrow whatever your location.

As someone said, it's a digital copy, whether we start playing tomorrow or in 3 days, we're not hurting any physical sale. I won't get a physical copy because I can't play my digital one. So...

As someone said, it's a digital copy, whether we start playing tomorrow or in 3 days, we're not hurting any physical sale. I won't get a physical copy because I can't play my digital one. So...

Thing is, do you really think that more people wouldn't buy online if they would get it three days prior?

The retailers basically chose days of some sort of strategic advantage or common agreement, and it would hurt relations with them were the online version to be released earlier.

So what you might say, but PC copies of games are still sold in stores in greater numbers, and game developers need the shops to advertise the product as well.

I do not think Bioware would mind selling world wide on the same day, in fact it would probably boost sales as "impatience piracy" might take a hit in Europe.

Or they could just wait for the master copy to get pirated. I've got... contacts... everywhere, around half of those who were excited about ME2 have downloaded a (apparently fully functioning) pirate copy

It already did, I know that a bunch of people managed to get a copy illegally prior to this weekend. Sure that would not prevent piracy at all but I have little doubt that the extra wait for Europe is also part of the problem.

well it have been the 26th for 6hours now, it is 0600 and i am going to bed now 
if i cant play tomorrow this will be the last game i buy as this is soooo crappy
(most of my friends have played for days now while i sit and wait  and here them spoil me etc )
