Anyone know what levels to take the dragons on at?
I know Hinterlands is level 11ish
What about Emerald Graves, Storm Coast and Crestwood?

Fun fact. If youre a Reaver its almost sad how easy Dragon fights are. Let alone the other fights. Spam Dragon Rage and heal when youre low. Did that and beat 2 of those Dragons in 2-3 minutes.

I'd recommend adding dragon level and locatikns of the dragons within their respective regions. That would be very helpful. The high dragons guide we are putting together has the recommended levels for each dragon on their individual pages. Link: http://dragonage3.wi...om/High Dragons
Edit: Personally, just missing the location of the dragon in Hissing Wastes myself.

I'll be adding all collections (dragons, mosaics, songs, etc) to each location and region, and the main locations page tells you if there's a dragon. It's just a llot of work to add all of the regions because I'm a completionist and suffering from shiny object syndrome atm. I will get to it though! You can help too if you have time, wiki is editable by anyone ![]()

Going Knight Enchanter was easily the best decision I made for my mage. That class eats dragons for breakfast. I just now took down the Greater Minstral dragon with a level 12-13 party on normal mode. I probably could've soloed it.

I've been avoiding dragons, but last night I ran into the Greater Minstral, saw he was weak to fire and was like, "well, I got Dorian with me right now, might as well try." I was level 17 or 18, don't remember if I leveled up right after or right before. It wasn't hard at all.
Just looked at the guide, I guess I thought most dragons would be higher in level. Suppose I'll go back and kill all the lower level ones I missed, I'm assuming that will make them really easy. I guess on my next playthrough I'll try to fight them at more level appropriate times.

It's outside of the Tomb of Fairel. If you bring along Iron Bull he'll get very excited and point out the dragon to you.

Anyone else feel guilty about fighting the dragons? To me they're like all the other wildlife and I try to just leave them alone.

I do. I'm actually a little torn about going back and killing them. I killed my first one just cos I figured I should see how hard it is. Then I got some epic loot and was like...maybe I should kill more dragons. But I don't really want to. Dragons are cool, they aren't hurting anyone.

Except for the Crestwood one, which is scaring people away and eating pets. So I may go back and vanquish it and then cry afterwards.

Lowest dragon I came across was 17, highest was 23 (forget the Western Approaches level). Would recommend being close in level before taking them on, or even just waiting since the main benefit is tier 4 crafting mats you don't wanna waste on low level items. Unlike normal mobs dragons give exp even if you're more than 3 levels above them. Seems to be considered a quest rather than a mob as it gives exp, influence and power (and lots of it).

Well it greatly depends on your difficulty and whether or not you're playing the "good" *cough* broken *cough* specializations. I wrote up my personal experience with the Hinterlands Dragon here if it helps.
During the fight I definitely felt a little low on level. It should also be noted:

Tonics of elemental resistance are your best friends when fighting dragons on hard.

And where's the Tomb of Fairel? I've been searching for both the dragons and the blasted tomb for some time now.
