It would be fine if it were a different colour, IMO.
Initially I thought that as well but the more I look at it the more it feels like it has to go away, far far away

Having gone to the ball, I would rather just have worn that outfit throughout skyhold. At least there would be some consistency instead of "here: wander about in random pyjamas" and "look at these old uniforms I found in the attic!"
At least I'd take my Inquisitor a little more seriously in the uniform.
Just let me wear my own armour. Serious stupid design decision. The pjs look ridiculous.
This. I hate seeing peasants at Skyhold wearing clothes that look a hundred times better than those pjs. Sitting on the throne judging over somebodys life in this clothes just looks so awful.
Hmph, the people who come before the Inquisitor are so beneath them why even bother to get dressed? Such lowly peasants are lucky if the Inquisitor even brushed their teeth this morning. Why, the Inquisitor can barely even be bothered to roll out of bed long enough to pronounce judgement on whether these bush farmers live or die. >.>
The Inquisitor is secretly a lazy, hung over alcoholic. Its just that they're the only one who can seal rifts so everyone in Skyhold has to put up with it and pretend like nothing is wrong when the Inquisitor shows up cross eyed and still wearing pajamas.
But its not just criminals being brought to judgement who see you in this outfit. Dignitaries, nobles, spies, etc...all from around the country who will return home to speak of the Inquisitor and the Inquisition. Every one of them probably has some running joke about your underwear. And yes, maybe the Inquisitor is just being a superior douche...but.......that doesn't really fit the bill at the start when you are still struggling to get support and acknowledgement of the Inquisition, its power, and its necessity.
That's The Joke -.-
Imho the outfit looks okay'ish on female, but terrible inappropriate on male characters
Yeah. its the shrink wrapped spandex jacket that's the real problem with it. You're practically vacuum sealed into it.
If the idea was to give the Inquisitor something impressive/regal around Skyhold I'd prefer a long coat type look like Cullen. Cullen looks far more like the Inquisitor than you do. Hell, so do Cassandra and Leiliana. All three have fantastic Skyhold outfits that are both impressive and imposing. You're just some ****** in pajamas that hangs out in the basement with a dwarf trying to decide what kind of drapes to hang in the castle.
It looks bad indeed, especially on my Male Qunari, being buffed and than to wear such clothes. I hope they will add the option to wear armor or other casual clothes within Skyhold.

I wish we could prance around shirtless like Cullen in this video, or have Shepard's boxers available as a pre-order bonus or Easter egg, but alas, what can one do?
On a similar note, I don't understand the wide-spread dislike of the causal outfit. I find it quite flattering for human characters.

On a human/elf female maybe, but definitely not on a qunari female. I fear she is going to rip the poor thing if she bends.
I've thought the exact same thing. It's becoming really *really* uncomfortable for me to sit and pass judgement in pyjamas and uggs. I'm beginning to loathe Skyhold just because I look like I feel on a sunday morning. I am so perplexed, and not in a good way. A game that often looks incredible, stuck me with the absolute worst clothing for when I'm in my castle trying to seduce my special someone. It's... gah! Also my character has too much makeup on because the character creator is a bit weird with lightning and I can't change my makeup for some reason. Thanks to these two things I'm dying of secondhand embarrasment IN MY FANTASY CASTLE.
Someone in the art department should be forced to wear pyjamas and uggs and makeup they can't change and the exact same hairstyle every day until they give us a better option.
Its like belted spandex. I'm just assuming that my character is into some kind of weird fetish.
Sounds like it may have not been intended:

If this is the case not sure why they didn't say anything earlier. But hopefully that means chance to wear our armor or something at least.

I really doubt that. During a Skyhold stream prior to release, people had asked if we could customize our casual appearance and the streamers said "No". They were wearing the same beige outfit that everyone knows. If anything I think this is just a response to the general feedback that people have had over the topic that we can customize Skyhold in a myriad of different ways, yet not our own character.
Yeah, its a clever PR tactic to claim its a bug instead of admitting they made a bad fashion choice and will rectify it.
Still, regardless of how Bioware intends to acknowledge it, so long as its fixed and I can wear my armor, I'll be happy.
Now I just want some mage armor recipes that are not human-only. Really, let me craft an uber powerful version of my warden battlemage armor! ![]()

I will craft a special outfit just to wear at the skyhold!
It shall be my ruling garment!
Well, I hope they finish their "investigation" soon.
Just let me wear my armour, even there they goofed up. Let materials determine the stats, Let me determine the colours.
ugh..yeah. I hate getting great stats but my armor has the goofiest color combinations. and dear god, that yellow plaid. ![]()
ok smack me since I like the outfit. I do wish we could change it and I really with they would give us more outfit options. I would very much like a dress for my lady elf as well as a nice formal outfit for a male character. Give me some "I am going to do the crafting" clothes with aprons etc.
Let me wear my armor if Wish around Skyhold or let me choose a outfit for the occasion..ie crafting, romance, war room, planting some seeds etc.
The outfit doesn't bother me that much, even though I'd prefer having options. It's those BOOTS I hate. He needs to pitch those things in the closest midden chute.
So apparently I heard that they 'removed' that comment that acknowledge it as a bug. lol
I really don't mind the Skyhold outfit. I don't love it just because it doesn't suit all my characters and the color is unexciting, but dear GOD, would I prefer it to that awful formal attire they force you to wear. Primary colors, really? Shoulder pads? Now that REALLY doesn't suit all characters... or any characters, except those without any taste in fashion, excluding oh... everyone except for a few very sad Inquisitors.
Somebody mod this, stat. I will give you candy and big, big hugs.
I don't know. My elf was rocking that orlesian ball suit. ![]()
Sady, when you get the recipe, you can't change the color of the shoulder pads or leather belt, so its yellow no matter what other colors you apply to it. ![]()
