I was so hopeful for the hair when those where released only to be massively disappointed. Really how many shaved/bald hairs do you need?! I would kill for the dwarf female braid.

The usual BioWare problem. They may be good at many things, but hair design was never their strong suit.

I really like those hairstyles, compared to the ones in the game. There is one I can tolerate and all others are bad... Hopefully I will find a good hood or something.

Those were just promo renders. Most likely they set those as the goal for their artists and programmers to strive for when creating the character creation tools.
Sadly... the team missed that goal. By a LONG shot. Instead of awesome beards and hairdos we get the usual Bioware hair helmets and plastic face shields from 2009.

Yes and that is very disappointing considering the quality of the rest of the game. The bad hairstyles just ruins the whole game for me, I know that sounds ridiculous but that's how it is.
