So, I have gotten as far as Skyhold Keep and have begun to notice something as I crafted stuff and played.
Everyone in the party has a unique "look" that none of the others has. If I crafted the same coat for my Inquisitor (a mage) that Dorian, Solas and Vivienne have on, all three have a completely different look from my PC, unique to themselves.
It gives everyone in the group a style all their own that fits their personalities instead of being 'uniform cookie cutter appearance' and gives the appearance that they are wearing clothing instead of a stock of leather/cloth armor they just picked up from the armory. Cass and Blackwall also have their own special one of a kind look to their armor as well, with Cass leaning toward a more feminine, Seeker themed armor, designed to be functional and still complement her shape, Blackwall in more traditional looking, bulky mail with the occasional griffon symbols of the Grey Wardens on his.
I love this aspect!
Even Orlais has a completely different feel from Ferelden in regards to the general populace and their look. The clerics of the Chantry look far different from Ferelden's clergy (in previous games) though i am seeing mobs in the field who are dressed similarly to DA2's NPCs.
Bioware may have dropped the ball on hairstyles, but they definitely got the clothing right in a special way this time!
What do you think about the new look of Dragon Age this time?
