By matter I mean: does it have any appreciable effect on the plot? If I become a Reaver will some characters instantly be disgusted with me? Or is there just the occasional bit of flavor dialogue?
Does your choice in Specialization matter?

Mostly the second. I'm an Assassin and so far only Dorian and Leliana have mentioned it to me. They both seemed more impressed than disgusted or anything, but I was given the option to say it's just a useful skill rather than I'm actually assassinating people.

Does each one have a decent quest to obtain, at least?

I am told Cole will react if you're a Rift Mage.

You get some reactions if you choose necromancy as well.

I had Solas, Cole, and Sera comment on my Inquisitor being a Rift Mage.

Picking Knight-Enchanter, Vivienne was proud (she seems to think my Quizitor sees her as a mentor figure), Solas commented that he thought the ancient Elven Arcane Warriors would be proud that their abilities had outlasted their culture, Sera was dismissive and thought it was a little scary, and Josephine commented that since Knight-Enchanters are normally elite guards for the Emperor/Empress and Divine, it might make relations with Orlais and the Chantry easier. No comments from anyone outside the inner circle.

I am curious on how people respond if your inquisitor becomes a reaver.

Me too. It'd be appropriate if few like it.. because it's just nasty by most standards.

My Trevelyan Tank became almost unkillable after I made him a Champion, so yes.

So was my Knight Enchanter. I'd gladly defend the Divine, if she allows me.

What did they say ? I am curious. Rift Mage is a very appealing mage specialization to me. The ability to lock down enemies, to weaken enemies, to deal insane damage to enemies and to have low cooldown is awesome.

I got some of the footage around somewhere, I'll dig it up and make a video.

Uh as Knight Enchanter sometimes your inquisitor will use his spirit blade in cutscenes. Vivienne and Solas discusesed the specialization with me as well. There weren't any major plot choices impacted by it though, that I can recall or noticed.

Fcuk, why is that life is so unkind to pc players, I just want to see everything in this game but goddamit.
Cole is adorable here and it's cool how he describes mages. I wonder now what everyone says abouth 2 other speceializations.

Yeah, I'd definitely like to know what the reactions to Reaver would be, since that's one I'm considering.

Apparently Iron Bull has some dialogue about you smelling like a dragon and he kind of hits on you because of it. Haven't done it myself though. Elf Reaver will be my second playthrough so I'm curious as well!

I became a necromancer and a few characters disapproved, Josephine was simply worried that it'd look bad for the Inquisition.
