Its in the Exalted Plains to the north east with a large cliff going all the way around it. I found a way in but there are rocks in the way but I cant get them moved. Theres also a Unfinshed Business quest on the other side as well

There is a tunnel leading to it, but it is l filled with rubble. Go close to it and you can plant a flag as if you are claiming it. Then you get an alert that a new operation is available. Do the operation and the you can enter the area.

wonder if anyone could tell me, specifically, where the access point is for northern area....i have accessed all quest markers and nothing opens to let me to northern section. Thanks!
Got it, thanks. For anyone else having trouble...it is southwest of 3rd camp marker along rock wall. There is a statue of a wolf in front of it. Behind the wolf is a rubble filled cave.

The Snowy Wyvern is in the same area as the normal Wyverns, it kinda wanders around a bit.

I did too. I went to exactly where the mission states to go, and there is not Wyvern there. I went and did other quests and came back later in hopes that it would return. It never did. I could not complete this mission.

You have to unlock it in the warroom to make it accessible.
It removes the rock from the entrance.

okay so I've found the snowy wyvern, which looks just like a normal wyvern but is all white (so, not the dragon), but it doesn't drop anything. And I couldn't find a second one.. and after I've killed a normal wyvern I now have the option to lie and give Vivienne the normal heart instead, so the snowy wyvern quest mark doesn't even show up on the map anymore.. .should I just keep looking? or are you actually supposed to lie about it..?

You're supposed to loot it's heart after you kill it.
Make sure to turn off any abilities that might mess with the corpse, like Dorian's mark spell or corpse explosion.

I have the area unlocked but have not encountered any wyverns, snowy or otherwise. Is this another thrice-damned bug?

The actual Snow Wyvern is to the LEFT side of the far end of the zone opposite the dragon walking up and down. It's bigger and it's white if you can't see it run over to where the dragon is and come back.

I killed the right wyvern then, but it was not loot-able, because I did suspect I need to loot the body to get the heart and was super confused when there wasn't any body to loot... and checked the surrounding area as well. I don't think I had any abilities like that at the time, so I'm not sure why it didn't drop anything....and now I can't find another snowy wyvern :<. I had to give Vivienne the common heart and she hates me now..but I still have this quest asking for a snowy wyvern heart. Bug?

Bodies disappear rather quick after kills. But loot dropped from the kills should remain there until leaving the map. Using search (press V on PC) after kills can highlight these loot for easy spotting.

I appreciate the..."duh...use the search function, the loot should drop comments"..but I did that for a half hour after killing the damn thing. I found a hidden body on some rocks, crafting supplies, fought a couple of gurguts....nothing, no snowy wyern heart and I'm CERTAIN I killed it.
there are so many bugs in this game it makes me want to cry because I'm really enjoying it otherwise.

One thing to watch out for if you kill the Wyvern but can't find the heart.. if you're playing as a ranged character, I've noticed a bug where sometimes the loot will drop right at your feet when a mob dies, instead of where the corpse is. In my case just now I had to go back where I was standing maybe 10 meters away from the Wyvern when he died. The heart was there instead of being on his corpse. Just something to keep in mind for other people who stumble upon this thread like I did.

this is not a bug. it appears to be a feature if you're technically out of range of something you killed. eg. I've killed stuff from a cliff where they can't get to me and the loot drops at my feet.

I'm having trouble finding the wyvern - I'm stood exactly where the marker says I should be, and I've wandred around for ages. I've already given Vivienne the fake heart, but the quest is still saying I need to complete it and find the snowy wyvern. Is this a glitch?

True. After asking her about it twice I went to the plains and wandered for hours now and nothing. Could it just not appear in some glitches?
