I was just doing the quest where you are to meet with the mage rebels & Fiona. As I approached Redcliffe village, I had to close a rift as part of the quest. Once complete, one of my party members said something about that rift altering time. Why did they think that? Seemed like a normal rift to me. Did I miss some dialogue during the fight?

Thanks.

yeah, i replayed a few times to see what i have missed. i think it is the part where Cassandra said something about closing that damned thing. It is not real-time but happened in the past. so that is why Cassandra said it is about time shift or something.

The rift makes little circles or "pools" on the ground, The green tinted ones make time slow and you attack more slowly, the yellow tinted ones make time fast so you attack quickly. Thats how they know its messing with time. So when you face the boss (if you have not already) its good to stand in the yellow circles and attack at twice the speed.
