anyone have any clue how to tell where to go with the horse after the first flag? time just ticks away as i ride aimlessly through the farm. gettin real tired of your s**t DA I...

You need to look at 

 

1) The minimap. It's not accurate and the waypoints are slightly off but it shows you the general direction in which you need to go. 

 

2) Two wooden poles that you need to ride through. As you go through the first one, the mini-map will direct you towards the two poles you gotta drive dat horsie through.

 

Should be simple enough.

wow, now its bugged to where the horse stays between the two posts, unmountable. reloaded last save and it still didnt fix. im done... this game is a bugfest.

I figured out you had to go through the poles.........problem is it seems to bug out and after the 2nd or 4rd pole the course doesnt update and bugs out i think.

 

I went through the rest of the poles in several different ways.....but still no luck. So bug i think.

For the last race I mucked it up by going right instead of left after the first one and got half way round the course before I realised it wasn't updating.

mini map didnt catch on at all the three times i tried. walked it and saw the poles and said to myself, "ok, ill look for the poles". problem is the OTHER BUG, where i cant mount the horse, kept me from being able to give it one last shot. so many bugs in just one small quest. after that i just popped in another game and posted this piece of crap for sale

Yeah, I wasted time on race # 1 trying to figure this out. And I did not see anything on the mini-map. It's the stupid fire lanterns that sort of glow bluish and make a chiming sound, I think, to indicate where to go. The problem is you have to guide the horse and look ahead, further up the road (screen) to see where the next wooden posts and lantern are. It is not easy to look at two spots on the screen simultaneously.

 

I got irritated by this, so I didn't even try race # 2, since I figured it could only get worse. Lame.

I've done all the races up to the last one.

But I keep completing it and don't get credit.

 

I even took the time to ride slowly around the course to see where everything was and did it again.

 

Still no luck, I don't see any alternative way to go, I think the problem is after I get down the hill to the creek, but I only see on set of poles to ride though and then around the corner and back toward the finish?

 

If there is another set of poles someplace I can't find them.
