Develop a keybinding scheme that works for you. Here is one I've used in lots of games:
Map movement keys to: E,D,S,F,W,R.
Map auto-attack to: T
Map ability keys to: G,V,Q,A,Z,4,5,6
Map potions to: 1,2,3
The reason for the above keybindings:
I want to be able to use movement keys and abilities at the same time with my left hand. Shifting the movement keys over to the right by one, allows me to use my left pinky finger along with my index finger for abilities. All while using my middle and ring fingers for movement. Once you get used to it, you can access all your abilities and potions without ever taking your fingers off of the movement keys.
Also, if you haven't already, learn to mouse-turn. Then adjust mouse sensitivity in the options until it feels comfortable to you. Mouse turning is FAR faster than keyboard turning and will make your character feel far more responsive. Especially when you're a rogue and have to run out of the umpteenth Bear-stomp/Despair-Demon point-blank AoE of doom grrr!
