Are we allowed to use bioware points to purchase DLCs in the future?

Nope. BW points won't be used any more.

 

AFAIK they said that 'they're looking into possible solutions' about what to do with customers who still have BW points left, but so far I don't think a result has been brought forth yet.

 

FWIW I didn't want to put up with the blanket "nope sorry we don't care" response support gave me, so I escalated it to the EA HQ in my country. That got it solved pretty quick.
