So like many of you I've been searching for the Helm of the inquisitor and the armor from the trailers, I'll explain where I've found them!

To find the Helm of the Inquisitor you need to go to the Emerald Graves in Orlais, find the Greater Mistral Dragon it's a ice dragon and it has a level of 17.
One you killed the Dragon it'll drop the Helm of the Inquisitor along with the armor 'In War, Victory' for mages!

Now to get the armor from the trailers, you need to go to the Hissing Wastes to the dog vendor and get the battlemaster armor! The other one is the Vanguard Mail you can get it with the merchant in Redcliffe Castle.  Also if you want the same breaches and arms of the trailer with the armor, craft the battlemaster breaches and arms then modify your armor with those!

To remove class restriction you need Silverite, Dales Loden Wool or Snoufleur Skin!!
With that you can match the colors from the trailers!

You can craft your armor to use with any class!
here is my warrior wearing the battlemage armor crafted with Dales Loden Wool and the battlemage arms and legs (note that the battlemage arms replace the blue color of the Dales Loden Wool to default!)

And the Vanguard Mail

Here is where to find the Dragon:

And a pic of the In War, Victory armor and Helm of the inquisitor:

Once I find the schematics for the Helm of the Inquisitor I'll update.

Are you sure you're not referring to the Inquisition Perks from Cullen? The ones for the Mage/Rogue/Warrior Schematics?

Does the armor 'In war, Victory' have race restrictions (no Qunari)?

That's not inquisitor armor, that's warden battlemage armor.

He didn't say it was the Inquisitor armor, he said it was the "In War, Victory" armor and the Helm of the Inquisitor.

Curious why it's so late in the game to get, but is such an iconic piece of armour from all of the trailers etc.?

I said it in an other thread about the armor of the inquisitor used in the trailers, i found a very similar model if not the exact same while on the mission Stop the Vennatori of the West i think its called a vendor sells the schematics for it in that area

This is what it looks like

No idea but it also sucked how in DA2, the champion armor was available at the final and shortest act of the game.

Confirmed that the rogue armor uses the same model so i assume the mage armor also uses the model from the trailers.

He sells the battlemaster schematic for me, but not the vanguard one, or do you have to be a certain lvl for that? I am currently lvl 15.

I found the schematics to this one at the dog merchant in the Hissing Wastes. Its expensive, the armor is around 8,000, and the arms and legs are just under 1,000 each. It was worth it though. And this armor is masterwork level, so if you really like the model you can just keep remaking it with better materials to keep it up to snuff.

Is there a Masterwork version of the Battlemaster armor schematic?

I'm asking cause I'm maybe one dead dragon away from having enough scales to use Dragon Scales as the main metal in my soon-to-be-crafted Sturdy Battlemaster Armor (I also have enough dragon hide that I can use it as leather, if I wanted to go for the full "I murdered a couple metric tons of High Dragon to make this suit of armor" look) but if there's an even slightly better version of the Battlemaster suit available, I'd prefer to save the scales for that.

Talking about the schematic you get by unlocking with inquisitor perks.

This is the reason I was hoping for a New Game +.  Once I've paid my dues in an initial playthrough, I'd like to have the option to play again with my iconic gear for the whole story instead of a few hours at the end.

Interesting... Since I didn't get the schematic from that Dragon but instead got it from a loot box in the Western Approach Fortress.

And you can get there at around level 10-12
