Useable by mages or I'm going to send hate mail to the devs?

both pieces of gear it drops (a chestpiece and a headpiece) are usable by mages. the headpiece is usable by anyone.

I know this is a rage post but I feel that I ahve to vent my ****** rage. I'm level 14, I have prepared for hours to take down the ****** level 17 dragon that drops the armor and helm. I initiate the fight, after 20-25 minutes the dragon FINALLy goes down, except that he ****** don't! Just as my Inquisitor lands the finishing blow the dragon does his stupid jump around thing, and guess what happens?!?! He ****** glitch out, so now he's walking around in circles doing nothing at 0 hp, he's also unkillable. BRAVO BIOWARE!

I'm level 11 and haven't even seen the areas or gear that you guys are speaking of.  I do want the Inquisitor helm and armor, which is how i found the thread.  I'm playing on an Xbox ONE and hope that this glitch is fixed by the time I can get to where you guys already are.  (that being said my power is 50, i've been doing side quests like a boss).

So upgrading the heavy armor (crafted with silverite) with the Battlemage legs/arms will always have that ugly reddish-bronze color? There's no way to have the boots/gloves in a different shade, like silver?

I found the schematic for the helm of the inquisitor in the red templar base in the storm coast. I'm pretty sure it was in a chest, may have been random.

I play on PC, it glitched the first time I tried to kill it, had to leave the entire zone and travel back and fight it all over again.

The schematic seems to be a random drop and can appear anywhere.

 

The helmet itself is consistent and is guaranteed to be found on the Emerald Graves dragon.

To remove class restrict u dont need silverite or snuffler skin. Lode Wool is enough!

Nope u need only 1.  That one which u need most of all. I dont know how it ingame on english i play non-english

 

For mages it cloth (19 u need)

For warriors it metal (19 u need)

For rouges it leather (19 u need)

Just buy a regular vanguard armor then go to redcliff and buy the vanguar mail arms and legs from the vendor there then modify your armor by adding those two pieces.

What're the stats/requirements on the "In War, Victory" armor? Loved the Warden Battlemage look on my character and may go for that instead of an early trip to Hissing Wastes on next playthrough if it's decent...

Mage only, Elf/Dwarf/Human only, requires level 11.

Changing the leather material will change the color of the armor.  I used Quillback leather and mine came out dark blue.

Okay, I found the schematic for this type of armor.  Emerald Graves in the treasure room after the constellation puzzles.  Its random, so you would have to save scum right outside of the room with the treasure chests.  It does drop there, as does the battlemage coat if you want that look instead.

 

Its the Sturdy Battlemaster Mail schematic, the only difference is it has the leather undercoat to the plate armor rather than the scale mail.  Since the battlemaster armor schematics give the rogue set, this is the closest available.

That is the battlemage coat, but it has a different arm slot attached to it.  I've only run into those pauldrons once, and they were already connected to another piece of gear that was far under my level so I ditched it immediately.  Not sure which they are.

you can get a chance for the inquisitor helm schematic, afther beating fereldan frostback, there is a small cave with 3 chests, and some templars, save scum the middle chest, like a lot. i think it has the see for it.

 

i got it frist time afther beating the dragon, reloaded and lost it. didnt stop saving scuming till i got it again, so i think anyone that hasnt opened those chest yet  can try it, i will when i do a new playtrowght

That purple means its unique, so its probably a drop.  I can't even begin to remember from what, I had it drop around 60 game hours ago.

Yup that's the one! Thank you at least I know it DOES exist now... I was starting to lose hope : P I'll just have to keep searching and hope I find it soon : ) I wonder if there's a schematic for that one?

So like many of you I've been searching for the Helm of the inquisitor and the armor from the trailers, I'll explain where I've found them!

 

To find the Helm of the Inquisitor you need to go to the Emerald Graves in Orlais, find the Greater Mistral Dragon it's a ice dragon and it has a level of 17.
One you killed the Dragon it'll drop the Helm of the Inquisitor along with the armor 'In War, Victory' for mages!
 

 

i didnt get a helmet from that dragon and the armor you speak of i got from the abyssal high dragon near adamant i think its random

This game has officially pissed me off. I just went out of my way to get schematic for vanguard armor only to find out that it LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE battlemaster armor without the metal part in the middle. defender armor LOOKS EXACTLY the same. This is a joke.
