I don't know.  The issue seems to be more with schematics and they are getting at least a partial fix with this part: Fixed weapon type on several crafted weapon parts.

Bugs still there, but it seems to be a console issue. I've see PC screens where its not bugged.

So like many of you I've been searching for the Helm of the inquisitor and the armor from the trailers, I'll explain where I've found them!

 

To find the Helm of the Inquisitor you need to go to the Emerald Graves in Orlais, find the Greater Mistral Dragon it's a ice dragon and it has a level of 17.
One you killed the Dragon it'll drop the Helm of the Inquisitor along with the armor 'In War, Victory' for mages!
 

Now to get the armor from the trailers, you need to go to the Hissing Wastes to the dog vendor and get the battlemaster armor! The other one is the Vanguard Mail you can get it with the merchant in Redcliffe Castle.  Also if you want the same breaches and arms of the trailer with the armor, craft the battlemaster breaches and arms then modify your armor with those!

To remove class restriction you need Silverite, Dales Loden Wool or Snoufleur Skin!!
With that you can match the colors from the trailers!  

You can craft your armor to use with any class!
here is my warrior wearing the battlemage armor crafted with Dales Loden Wool and the battlemage arms and legs (note that the battlemage arms replace the blue color of the Dales Loden Wool to default!)

This post has been really helpful in allowing me to find the helm and the schematics. The only problem I'm having is getting the color right. I'm a warrior so I don't need to remove the class restriction. I have the silverite, dales loden wool, and the snoflour wool. I have Dagna unlocked so I can add masterworking to weapons and armor, but for all that is holy I can't seem to match up with the orange or red that's in the trailers. I can get gold but not orange or red and to be honest I'm not really sure how I got the fade-touched materials I already have. I think some of them dropped of the venatori. Anyways to recap, I'm trying to make the battlemage armor. I put:

 

Silverite - Mainslot

Dragonbone - Side slots

Snouflour (Or whatever its called) - Bottom slot

 

What do I put in the top spot for masterworking to get that orange color.

I don't know if anyone but me has it, you can get a schematic for the Helm of the Inquisitor though it was a random drop for me quite early in my last playthrough but it is possible to get it just have to be really lucky again I guess.

Just finished this side quest last evening and did not get that schematic. Also considering you seemed to have gotten it from a "Dwarven Pot" then I guess it could be 'Random Loot'. I am 95% sure I looted everything in that area (Twice, once before the sidequest, and then another time during the sidequest) however I will go back and check, just in case.

Yes, I verified it with some of my friends, only 3 of them have found it, and all 3 have been in different locations. Google has also provided multiple sources for the schematic. I just killed my last dragon, so I have almost no hope of finding it.

I got the schematic for the helmet in the tunnel at the storm coast, that leads to the boat you can use to get to the Dragon.

(the tunnel unlocks through a wartable mission)

All you need is one tier 2 chest to farm.  As long as you have one unemptied tier 2 chest, you can farm it for the schematic.  What about the chests near the broken bridge in the Hinterlands, the chest in the Redcliffe Chantry, or the chest next to the windmill / lighthouse in the Fallow Mire?  All should yield tier 2 schematics.

Thanks, I'll try and remember next time I run into one, whether it be in my next playthrough or finishing this one. Kinda odd how people find it sometimes 10 hours in, and I am at over 150 hours, and still haven't found that schematic. Some people are just lucky.

Is the Inquisitor shield Cassandra starts with the only one in the game?  I know there's a seeker shield, but imo that looks awful. 

 

I kinda wish I never sold that, but it's not like we have storage.

Sadly yes, I've been bitching around the forums so they add a schematic for it. Kind of lame they used it in promo stuff but never actually aded a schematic in game   Same thing applies to her sword.

I am starting to see random new schematics like daleish warrior armor. or is that the first time I am seeing it? Also I have found the HOI schematic at Lvl 16, trying at 12 to see if it spawns will keep posted. I have noticed that some tier 2 schematics drop more often at higher lvls.

Dude! I just got the sturdy battlemaster mail schematic as well as battlemage mail schematic from loot boxes in Sulevin's keep! Every loot box has a chance to drop tier-3 schematics. I saw it in some video. I think also got battlemaster mail arms schematic and so now I'm just getting greedy in hopes to get mail legs schematic(which I already have a premade one of) and possibly a superior version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Man, that is some fine gear.

 

I'm aiming at the same setup. Already got Battlemaster Mail and BM Mail Legs Schematics. 

 

Could you tell me which is that greatsword model? Can´t stand that T3 Serrated Greatsword look.

The helmet can also be farmed from a Tier 2 schematic chest in the Hinterland where save & load works (thanks to EDM for that info!).

Has anyone found this armor? I know the helmet is the Inquisitor's helmet, but the armor with that neck style I have not found. It kind of looks like battle master armor, but the neck and lapel are different. I wonder if its a resource I've yet to found, though I doubt that.

It's categorized from light to heavy and most changes between each of the is the default sleeve and boot appearance and that's really it. The chain-mail skirt is actually part of the medium armor schematics.

IMO, the Amor of the Dragon + Helm of the Inquisitor is almost on par with what your companions can rock.
