So this is my first time getting this far in Origins. I usually lose interest after the 50 hour mark, but Inquisition has inspired me to finish the game for once :P Not sure if spoilers are allowed here or not, then again the game is like 5 years old.

I want to keep the Secret Companion alive because I heard he has some realy awesome dialogue in Inquisition, but at the same time, I'll lose Alistair. Does that mean Alistair won't fight against the Archdemon? I'm assuming that I'll miss out on some great dialogue if that happens? I'm not really using him actively in my party anymore (me and Oghren as dwarves just seems like a better fit, with Leliana and Morrigan), but I don't want to miss out on anything important.

I know I could also just keep Alistair, and using the Keep I could pretend I kept the Secret Companion alive. That feels a bit like cheating though :D

If Ser Secret Companion survives the Landsmeet, yes indeed, you will lose all access to Alistair as a party member and he will not be available for the endgame battles.

Thanks for the info. That's really disapointing, damn this is going to be a tought decision. I guess I'll just do that section twice, so I can expierince both charecters.

I recommend playing it out both ways on separate playthroughs. You need to recruit and talk to Loghain at least once in my opinion, just to get his perspective on things. He is a very interesting character and even if you still think what he did was wrong, he does show that it was not black and white.
