Komondor:
That's ... a whole lot of hair.
If I wanted something that required me to do everything for it and offered me nothing in return, I'd get a stupid crappy cat.
Oh please, as if dogs give you something and other animals don't. That is a lame bait if I ever saw one. This is a thread about dogs, not about any petty dog vs cat feuds or the likes. I have half a mind to start talking about several of the small breeds that are very practical work breeds and have reportedly little issues acclimating to a wild lifestyle, but that is wasted time with your evident attitude.
Enjoy your big dog supremacy complex.

Ah Eternal Phoenix comment disappeared just before I wanted to reply. Proper reaction to Komondor dog: lolwut?
There were so many black dogs, I prefer brown dogs!

Dogs give more than any other animal in terms of practical application and have been used throughout history including on the battlefield. Dogs can be used for a variety of different actions and have benefited humankind for thousands of years. Cats? A bunch of superstitious Egyptians worshipped them and now they've been adopted by the whole world and are being worshipped again, their master-plan complete. They act like they're superior to humans and wake everyone at night screaming in the streets. How dare they...
Incidentally, if you're really taking my posts here seriously and got offended then I feel bad for you son but I've got 99 problems and a crappy small dog ain't one! XD I actually have no real problem with small dog breeds or cats. My "contempt" of them is pretend man. I actually like every animal, big or small, it's part of my philosophy of life to be respectful to all animals and always has been.
Although the point about dogs having more practical application than any other animal isn't a joke, it's an actual fact unless you care to list a cat (or a small/toy dog for this matter) that can do farm work, protect, rescue people, fight and hunt...

Jesus, you're right, what happened?
BiowareMod02 be playing games ever since I friendzoned her. XD
Anyway, my list was the following in no particular order:
Greyhound.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
German Shepard.
Komondor.
Husky.
Can't be bothered posting the pics again ![]()
These dogs can all be different colours (except for the Komondor which is actually white but has a distant smaller relative that is black) but I prefer white or black.

I generally hold the view that one animal's life is not more sacred than another just because it's cuter, or more majestic or whatever. Especially not if the person protesting is wolfing down chicken and steak while they're at it. But I make an exception for dogs. I have an extremely romantic view of dogs that I don't think is entirely unwarranted. Not when you hear about things like this every other week:
I'm the biggest realist I know and even I'm tempted to believe this dog is actually trying to save the fish despite how impossible some people say it is:
re: small dogs, dog breeds have characteristic temperaments just like they do health problems. It's racist but it's the truth. We wouldn't have bred so many different dog breeds otherwise. Having said that not all small dogs have a bad temperament. Corgis are super cool dogs as well as being cute.

They never stop doing that.
Even whilst our Joyce wasn't that big of a dog (Labrador mix), there was still a guaranteed "oomph" when she got up the couch (after asking with puppy eyes beforehand of course) and just let herself fall on the lap of whomever was sitting on the big couch.
It is troubling though if you went a bit further into the night and once you decided you want to leave for the bed, the dog already was in deep slumber and you don't want to wake them up, but can't get up otherwise. Bonus difficulty if she miffed in sleep and was dreamwalking/spazzing.

Hey guys,
Let's make sure to keep everything civil and happy! Yay dogs!
Oh crap the mods are here!
Run from the banhammer!
(My Huskies shall make the mod fall in love with them and want to hug them).
Speaking of, my Red Husky ran off today and when we recovered him...
He was covered in mud all over the bottom half of his body. My dogs enjoy running around Knotts Island at any chance.

Uh no. It is a longstanding debate ever since the controversy with Pit Bulls and it has nothing to do with the internet.

That side of controversy should grow up. No one likes every species and types of animals. Seriously should I like every kind of Dog, Cat and Bird? Only Zoologists or those who think anything that is carbon based is their brothers!

I used to own a poodle. Wickedly smart dogs, but also more temperamental than most people believe. Also highly protective.
Best part (this is true for a maltipoo and a malteser too) - no hair problem. No hairs on floor, pants, shoes and everything. A blessing.
A true house dog if there ever was one.
Also works as an alarm system. My dog alerted us to thieves 4 times.
Not a big fan of may poodle hair styles tough. Prefer more natural ones.

And Buddhists, it's part of their religion to love every animal.
Never knew I was a "dog racist" though for preferring particular breeds though and just because I find dogs like the Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier annoying (doesn't mean I hate them though before anyone comes picking this out). I guess the internet is really changing for the worst. I didn't even mean to offend anyone. It used to be that these debates got out of control when you talked about religion or politics. Now you can't talk about cats or dogs! XD
Soon we'll be divided into Catists and Dogists and the Catists will make a subreddit called "r/catism" where they will post "science" memes to try and discredit us dog owners...
Anyway, on this topic:

The monster dog is an Irish Wolfhound, not a gray wolf. They were bred to go after gray wolves.
This is a gray wolf:

Sadly don't have any newer pictures(he's near full grown now) but this is My lil'dingus Théoden(I write it out in Old English as Þéoden)
That's him with My (then) kittens; Nymeria(front) and Heru-Pa-Khered(back) when he was just 4 weeks old. He was rescued after his mother had died two weeks before, he was in very bad shape when I got him, but now he's happy and healthy(if just a little fat).
He's a Husky/lab and possibly very, very, very low-content wolfdog(I haven't had time to find out for sure, but he has very wolfish features and behavior)
