Break a vase as a mage.  Not sure which I have more trouble with, and then when it finally breaks.... it just re-appears, taunting me into a frenzy while my teammates die from lack of barriers I should be casting.

I just throw myself into the demon boss so the DAMP ends faster because it is impossible and the biggest waste of time ever.

Fought it at least 10 times and no matter what I do I lose.

Arcane warrior ftw against both.  Melee the vase, then punch the commander in the face.  

 

But seriously, he's not too bad with a little bit of communication.  He follows a pattern.

 

-go underground

-go aboveground again with his amazing hit (when he decides a location he emits yellow/green fade essence)

-[maybe] walk around, throw some punches

-panic nearby allies, proceed to go underground

-go aboveground nearby (not hitting anyone this time)

-throw a ranged attack or two, maybe a melee or so

-go underground

[repeat]

 

Effectively you just need to focus on attacking him while he's focusing on ranged attacks, and run away when he wants to melee.

Effectively you just need to focus on attacking him while he's focusing on ranged attacks, and run away when he wants to melee.  

It also helps to kite him through the hallways, getting rid of as many trash mooks as you can along the way. Focusing only the demon commander is a bad move against this faction.

I think I've played against demons 6 out of 7 matches today.  Won 5 of those 6, I just wish my record against vases was nearly as good.
