Makes me wonder if they planed this muck up, to just mess with our gamer addicted minds... to make us want it more and more. Those bastards ><

I am still waiting for the DLC, I'd hope it will be released before the expansion but you never know

While I can live with waiting for the DLC and Expansion it is a bad thing for BioWare or EA to delay the release of RtO due to the release of ME2. Not everyone who plays DA:O played ME or is buying ME2. People who aren't interested in ME/ME2 shouldn't get shafted by the release of ME2 release. As a person who did pre-order ME2 I would rather play RtO first and then play ME2 and I may just wait until I am done with RtO before playing ME2 whenever it is released.
In the end, we simply wait. Hopefully RtO arrives soon.
I agree and I totally understand those that don't and won't play ME2 are upset - I was too when I realized that it wouldn't happen as it was planed. Maybe, due to a short insight in the gaming industry, I have more patience than others when it comes to games and their addons, expansions and patches.
But besides that, I don't mind the order in which I play DA: RtO and ME2, I have the tendency to play whatever suits my needs.
I am not giving up on RtO and my hopes for BW are still higher than many other developers - yet, one thing that seems to remain a problem throughout the entire industry is the lack of communication to the user and buyers. If we would receive a clear and decent explanation, I'm sure a lot of people would be appeased.
Who knows - maybe BW will learn this one day as well.

No offense, but... eh. Play another game in the meantime. How about Mass Effect 2? I hear that one is pretty sweet. Maybe give Deus Ex another go, as well?Dahelein wrote...
What really annoys me is that rtO has been available on illegal download sites since early January. So while pirates, who haven't paid for their game or dlc are playing, we who have paid and are willing to pay for this dlc are still waiting.

That seems to be the official response to the broken 360 saves as well.

Release cycles have become more critical than I recall them being in the past especially with the extremely close ties between developers and publishers especially when a publisher actually owns a developer. If and when a release date is missed then the new release date can be majorly impacted by other game release schedules. BioWare might not have a choice in the matter of their silence on the delay and the new release date. If they have been told to keep their mouths shut then that's exactly what they have to do. I am in no way indicating I have any knowledge that they were told to do so, btw. I'm merely making a comment about something that has happened with other developers, publishers, and games (ie Alpha Protocol).
I think I'll hold off on ME2 and not game at all for awhile. I have other games I could replay but what's the point. I'd be better off doing some actual good old-fashioned reading.

Hehe, I read, write, cook and draw a bit but I always have a bit of room left for gaming. Just can't help it.
Anyway, the point as to what relation or connection the devs and publishers might or might not have, or who might say what can be said and what cannot be said, is not what I was referring to. The main problems arrive if the community is feeling neglected and ignored. A simple message like my old time favorite: "Sorry about the problem. We know about the issue and frustration and are working on a solution. We'll let you know as soon as we can." would at least show a sign of communication and will to communicate.
I have seen games that went down to hell because the community felt like nobody cared -- while this might be exaggerated in this case, it is just something to consider.
I'll stop preaching now though... especially since I still believe and hope for an eventual appearance of RtO (I am still hoping that it might be mixed into The Awakening

For all those that sit here impatiently - start writing fan-fiction and build yourself a story how you would like it to be - works wonders!
Please don't misinterpret what I wrote. I don't disagree with anything that you've said.
I don't, personally, believe that RtO will be abandoned or that it will be rolled into Awakening. I do, however, believe, that like it or not, we will be waiting until after ME2's hoopla before we see RtO even if it were ready right this very second for release. Marketing, money, politics, bureaucracy, etc. A week ago there would be no problem. Right now? Well, why rain on ME2's parade? I hardly compare a DA:O DLC to be something that should be held off on so as to let ME2 get all the press but then again I'm a nobody so what does my opinion matter?
I agree it would be lovely to get more input from BioWare or even EA but these are the way things are. This is part of the "game".
Lastly, yes, public perception and communication from a developer can make or break a game. A strong loyal community that gets much support from a game developer can lead to a infinitely long lifespan for a game.

if your talking about after you install dlcs, I know how to fix that.
You've got to delete the dlcs from ur hard drive that are causing the problem then redownload them, if it doesn't work the first time try again. It worked for me;)

I personally am not interested in the ME games, so I will buy another game from another company, it's that simple.

that, imo, is the real problem... everything else is (to me) just background noise

Back on topic though, I'm super excited about ME2. This whole thing about RtO has saddened me but I know as soon as it comes out I will try and get it. I mean, I just hope it is worth the wait. I hope with all these delays they are adding more juicy content or making it better. Hell if it means we get more juicy content release it with Awakening. Make RtO a grand spectical. Honestly from the story's stand point it should be. Alot of crazy crap happened and to return to where it all began...that is serious stuff there. Heehee, forgive my imagination
Honestly I love this game so much I'm just happy to hear that they have future plans in the works for this game. I wasn't expecting anything big for DAO until DAO2. I figured they go along the lines of ME and release two, three DLC and call it a day. We got all these DLC and a expansion in the works. Who knows what the future holds! Hopefully more returns of our old favorites. I need my Zev Fix~ Anyway, about 14hrs left before I get my ME2 copy
