Can you save everyone, and if you don't, how does it change the game?

I couldn't save everyone. but i haven't tried redoing so i don't know if its hard "some people die" or you were too incompetent and people died.

 

overall i had a shop owner die and he was replaced, some heartfelt words about his death being unfortunate and we all moved on.

I read in another thread that you can, but it might help to have a warrior to be able to smash in doors to make things go more quickly.

but i couldn't get into the house that was on fire at all even with a warrior.

You have to climb the ladder to the platform near the building, walk across some planks and come inthtough a hole in the roof. After you save the person, break the crates blocking the door.
