Why is it that the techs at Bio can not figure out how to add PC-GamePad to their PC games??
I asked tech there and they said they do not know how!!
Well it works on the 360 and Bethsoft has done it for all their games- so come on it can not be that difficult.
Will they add it for ME2 on the PC??Image IPB
(I gave up waiting for a fix for PC gamePad for ME1 and Dragonage PC version. So I can not recommend these games for PC use. Face it, it is more fun and relaxing while using a GamePad instead of a keyboard and mouse hookup.)

The interfaces for the games mentioned above were designed for the PC to take advantage of the mouse/keyboard. Most PC gamers prefer using the mouse, especially for RPG's and shooters. This is their though process. Should they enable gamepad controller support? I am sure they could but they would then probably have to utilize the interface designed for the consoles. In ME1 and Dragon Age's cases, the PC interface was an improvement over the consoles.

I think they are taking the more beaten path here in the design choice...and they can't please everyone.

It's already there for the XBox version, so it's strange indeed. Someone at the old forums said that it's because Microsoft only allows XInput (the 360 Controller-on-PC API) to be used by people who put their game through Games for Windows certification, which costs time and, if I'm not mistaken, money as well.

Well, they never noted any gamepad support in the requirements, right? So why do you complain?

That's not true, as Jade Empire has perfect 360 controller support.

That being said, while I would welcome controller support for PC Mass Effect, I don't understand how exactly the OP would expect to control PC Dragon Age with a controller given that the interface is really quite different.

I agree they should  have put this in the game in the first place, maybe in Mass Effect 3 we see it included?

I hope this helps
All the best uk21:ph34r:
