Okay, I was just watching my son play through, and upon his return to Skyhold after a quest, he was exploring the new areas that had opened up and found the Inquisitor's bedroom... where he managed to walk his character up onto the bed and started jumping. Yes, I look up to see his Inquisitor literally jumping up and down on his bed. Just because he could.

After I got done laughing (there may have been tears involved, I thought it was ridiculously hilarious), I wondered, what other crazy, random, or ridiculous things do we do in a game just because we can?

Anyone have a story to share?

Killing a chicken in one of TES games. I haven't done it, but I know that if you do, crazy **** goes down.

Leaping off a high cliff/mountain on your mount and doing an ugly but injury-free landing at the bottom.

Yep! It's pretty awesome, actually. Makes getting around easier. It looks like it hurts real bad though. Poor mount.  :crying:

I spent at least 20 minutes running around in a circle on one of the rugs in Skyhold because I was thrilled with how fancy it was.

See how many people I can run over with my car before I get wasted by the police.

Beating people to death with a bunch of flowers in GTA:SA is a highlight for me. (or the purple... 'object' from the police shower haha)

Jumping off the barricades at Skyhold and landing right in front of Cassandra press X for a smooth transition into kissing scenes. Also running over nugs with my mount, figuring out how to trigger moonwalking (start a conversation as you're landing from a jump) and flirting with Dwarves.

Not learning the actual layout of skyhold because it's quicker to jump from the walls and roofs and such.

Literally everyone attacks you. If you kill a human, you get an option to go to prison, pay a fine, or fight the guards. Kill a chicken? The death penalty is the only option. XD

This is not something that I have done, but it made me go dafaq real hard.

I was in the in the Hinterlands when group of outlaws jumped out of nowhere and started attacking me. There were two rogue types, then their friends showed up. My group was fighitng 8 bandits on their camp and for a Roleplaying game this was normal, then the clusterbomb hit. Out of nowhere 4 bears came and attacked my group and the bandits, then 3 more wolves came and attacked us.

When the fight was over, I had used all 8 health potions and majority of my group members have only 2 bar hp left. That is when 4 more bears showed up and they brought 3 wolves with them.

I dont know if this was working as intended, but it was a epic fight.

  • Fus-ro-dah the follower from The Throat of the World.
  • Naked pool bombing in the final minutes of The Elder Scrolls Online Beta. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen and probably the best moment of that title.
  • Trying to romance both Leliana and Morrigan but got dumped by both of them on DAO.

Also you can do some real funky stuff in Dishonered too, but I'm too lazy to write all of them.

Steal everything that isn't nailed down and smile at the few games that actually call you on it. I don't mean getting caught in a game with an actual stealing mechanic. I mean going into an NPC house and opening their treasure chests.

Walking into strangers' houses, checking out all their rooms, and taking whatever isn't tied down...

Skyhold has no fall damage.

Happy jumping.

It's the best way to travel.

I was also thrilled the first time I accidentally galloped into a ram and knocked it flat on its ass. Now I always try to run them down. Give me ramming speed!

My brother firmly believes that if he knifes a chicken in Counter Strike it improves his chances of winning the match.

In Morrowind, Every innocent person I killed, be it some poor woman who's house I liked and wanted it for storage, or some random NPC, I would leave a spoon on their forehead.  I don't know why.  I just thought it was neat how you could place items in the world and they'd stay there

Was it in the Forest Camp?  I had exactly the same thing happen to me.  About four bandits total, 3 bears and two of the local wolves got bored.  I barely survived, but I wasn't hurting too badly for leather after that experience.
