I know your pain!! My notebook has stopped working less than a week before launch, so I have no way to play it at home! However, my friend offered me to download the game in his computer and play there when I could. Played only about 14-15h, and won't be able to play anymore for a couple of days! Now I spend all my free time just sad and roaming the forums.

I read an article about how Dragon Age is a Life Ruiner.

You play

Go to work

Think about it all day

go home and play some more

when your better half distracts you and you dont get to play, you think about that

rinse and repeat.

I have like 26 hours in my save, and i feel like 10 hours of that was "idle" distracted time

I want to play more!

Anyone else having fun?

I honestly thought this was going to be another one of those "I hate this game because... and it ruined my life" threads. I'm glad I was wrong. I wouldn't call it a game that will leave your life in ruins just one that will take up a lot of free time because it's fun to play.

+1

Three hours sleep last night. Two hours the night before. I can't seem to balance my gaming and work life sensibly, but right now, Inquisition > everything.

UGH well I just had a huge thing spoiled for me because people don't like hanging out in the Spoilers section it seems.  So I guess in that respect Inquisition has ruined my life.

This thread makes me feel so much better. All of my free time has gone to DAI and way more of my work day than is reasonable goes to reading about it. I was supposed to see a friend tonight. She cancelled and I got super excited. This is apparently my life for awhile, I am glad I am not alone.

I'm having surgery on Dec. 3rd....It will not stop me from continuing to play DA! Even if I have to only play for a half hour at a time due to excruciating pain from sitting up straight. lol.

Its sitting on my desk at home and for reasons far too complicated (and personal) I cannot play it right now.  But I swear the game is an old God in disguise because its calling and singing to me and I just can't stop but look over at it every now and then.

Yup don't even start it up until you have hours and hours you can devote to it...seriously. It is great fun and you will be hard pressed to leave its world :)

I know, even though I quickly soured on SKyrim the first week we rented it I was playing the game about three-five hours on average every day.  I got stuck for a while on that one door in the first Barrow you go to and didn't realize the answer was on the claw so I was down there for HOURS.  I do not need that time sink right now...though I am a bit more...controlled...when it comes to games these days DA I looks like it could be that kind of a time sink and try even my current steely resolve and I do not need the distraction right now.     Hopefully by Mid December, and hopefully I will knock out one full play through before February at the very least considering that is when I plan on starting my next degree program...and I am rambling.  Sorry.
